El Ghazi and Chambers

Thu Dec 26, 2024 8:37 pm

El Ghazi's one on one with the keeper this afternoon summed up our season to date.

Weak. No commitment. No desire. No skill.

He should be embarrassed as a professional footballer to accept his wages for the performances he's put in this season and he's not alone.

No doubt he thought he'd spend a season at Cardiff then have a queue of bigger clubs fighting for his signature next season.

Doubt if Newport would be interested at the moment.

As for Callum Chambers - we've had so many good centre halves over recent years that it's really noticeable how bad Chambers is. He's slow, poor in the air and gets caught out of position frequently.

Bring fish in at centre half, play chambers as a midfielder alongside Robertson.

I have nothing in his decision-making that tells me he can do that role nowadays. Fulham was 6 years ago

Chambers had a spell of doing alright but has gone back to his old ways.

I was excited by the signing of El Ghazi but it's been a massive disappointment. Don't know whether he's lost the appetite but thankfully he's only on a contract until the end of the season.

Both are being paid well too.

Bring Fish in and drop Chambers to the bench where his performances belong.

We do not have the guile and skillsets to pass teams to death. Its too slow and indecisive with no attacking threat to try to create the overloads.
I have no idea what this squad can do but I am fed up with the Pep wannabes. Today was possession for possession's sake.

Chambers offers very little
