Ambitious Stoke City have appointed former Coventry boss Mark Robins as their new manager on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
Paul Nevin, who had been serving as interim England Under-20s head coach, and former Newport County manager James Rowberry will join Robins at the Bet365 Stadium as assistant managers.

He'll keep Stoke up but he's not necessarily the same manager without Adrian Viveash along side him as coach.

Robins gets a 3 and a half year deal while Riza gets a 3 and a half month deal if he’s lucky!!

The assistants are technical coaches and i feel that may be a bit of self realisation from him that he is now entering that stage of football that he is a manager rather than head coach. I imagine that group will cost a fair bit, more than Vinny looks like he wants to pay.
Most of our fans wouldn't have wanted the pre Coventry Robbins. I can't help but think that Robins got extremely lucky in the recruitment area, where he bought a dozen assorted eggs from the market and a ridiculous amount of Swans emerged, inevitably we end up with sick ugly ducklings.
They have a superior squad, better coaches, and a genuine manager, they'll climb.

He's obviously a decent manager at this level, a lot thought he was treated badly by Coventry.
Not surprised he's back in the Championship this quickly but a bit surprised he chose Stoke. A bit like us, they have their issues off the pitch.
That's also something that Robins had to deal with at Coventry.
Think he could have got a better job.

Only time will tell if its a great appointment... stoke have had issues for several seasons and several coaches ur expect them to be safe eventually.

Rowberry is an interesting appointment as assistant.
We wanted him as our assistant in the summer. He turned it down so we went with Riza instead.
Bellamy also really wanted him involved in the Wales coaching team and he got him. He's combining his job with Stoke to also stay with Wales.

The championship is like a swingers convention put keys in centre and see who's available? Leave one club join another with owners hoping he's the one! Absolutely crazy...
