Huddersfield and Charlton are keen on signing Cardiff striker Kion Etete.
Etete has yet to play this season due to a hamstring injury but is close to full fitness.

If this was last season, or even early on in this, I would have driven Etete there myself.
It shows how desperate our situation is when I think he walks straight into the team as our target man.

Agree with that.
If we don't sign a striker, which seems to be the case, we shouldn't really be letting any strikers go.

If Etete is our saviour we really are in trouble

6 in 56 hardly qualifies him as a “striker”

After rehabilitating and getting him back to full fitness on full wages he should repay me my ticket costs and play for free for the rest of the season i don' t think much of him as a player,
but it would be 2 fingers upto cardiff if he f.cked off without helping out the club who have helped him,
But not playing all season then suddenly transfer window and i am fit.

I am probably in minority but feel there is still a player there in etete. Injuries have kept blocking progress

its a strange story, he hasn't kicked a championship ball yet 2 clubs are in for him.
My guess is we have told him he can go if he can find a new club. Yes there is a player in there but what level and when it matures is beyond me

It might not be his choice, if Riza feels he can get better players/value elsewhere
Without a replacement though, he is a better option than the likes of Kanga; although I’ve warmed to Meite in recent games where his physical presence has made a difference that allows others into the game

Strange to say the least

I wouldn’t be disappointed if he left.
He’s not a championship standard player in my opinion.
Not sure if you can even call him a striker based on his 6 goals.

Beggars belief how he's gaining interest!??

Etete is still young and is 6’6” and has good close control. Also he has been out a good while so he needs time. He is also improving as seen when he had a run of games in the first team. He is maturing as a player.
He is better than most other main strikers that we have. Meite is very limited but works hard. Kanga is ….. well I am not sure what he does well! Hardly gets a run out. And Robinson scores some goals but offers very little else and (like Colwell) doesnt close down. Also at about 30 he isn’t going to improve.
For all the above teasons any team with a strategy for the medium to long term would keep Etete……so we will probably sell!!
.
Also as an aside why cant any of our strikers head the ball properly. Surley we should at least be able to improve the heading ability in training???????

Good question about the heading.
We've had a number of tall strikers over the years who are no threat whatsoever in the air.
Zohore
Glatzel
Etete
Kanga
You could even include Colwill who's about nine foot tall but can't jump or head the ball.
On the other hand, Helgusson who was relatively short for a centre forward was a real threat in the air.
