Protest March UPDATE

Thu Jan 02, 2025 9:54 am

A message to anyone who cares about the future of Cardiff City :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Morning all

To give you an idea of what is going on behind the scenes, we had a number of our guys out in the torrential rain from 1230 on Wednesday handing out leaflets promoting the march on 18th Jan 2025 at 1130am from The Admiral Napier.

The support and take up of the leaflets which includes a QR link to the video was outstanding and couldnt have gone better. To see fans walking up and down the roads around the CCS with leaflets in their hands, reading them, really made the extra hard work put in by all the people associated with the march worthwhile.

Feedback was fantastic, hardly any dissenting voices, and all leaflets produced for Wednesdays game were distributed. We have more leaflets to hand out on Saturday at Middlesbrough and against at next Tuesdays home game.

fans have spent their own money trying to make this march effective. It will be noisy and it will bring fans together, unlike the current board who seem to want to tear us apart. We have heard that the board is not happy that we are taking a stand. Sorry, but its about time........ We have let this go on long enough!

We will all be attending the game to support the team against Swansea to three invaluable points. If you are going to the game, join us in our walk up to the stadium and the main stadium entrance. If you want change, please..by simply joining the march you are doing your bit.

Bring banners, home-made banners, anything that shows your opposition to how our club is being run at the moment. Look at Reading, Blackpool and others who have risen up. We are Cardiff City and have done the same in the past. Now is the time again.......

This is a peaceful march. There can be no room for anything that would show us in a bad light. Enjoy yourself on the march, but enjoy yourself by being disciplined. Troublemakers are not welcome....Those with Cardiff City at their heart, and there will be many, can begin the process of telling the current regime to either sell or invest.

Nothing else will do

ADMIRAL NAPIER 18TH MARCH 1130......... PLEASE, IF CARDIFF CITY MEANS ANYTHING TO YOU.

I think this whole exercise is a total waste of time its driving divisions with all the fans, the players and the club.

The club has been divided since 2012 and it’s down to one man. Get him out of the club.

I'm sorry, what?

Everyone can see this club is on a downward trajectory with Vincent Tan as owner.

Your attitude may be to just let that happen but thankfully a large number of fans are going to make their voices heard.

This is a peaceful protest to show Vincent Tan how the fans feel. It is not an effort to bring Sam back, we all know that's not going to happen.

If people don't want to get involved then they don't have to. But likewise, there will be many people who will be.

So one thing it isn't, is a waste of time.

And its clear that these actions are going to further divide people. I can assume that either you have the capacity to stump up £1m+ per month to keep the club going or do you have anyone in mind who can do those some of funds, unfortunately, thats what is needed to get Vincent Tan out of the club or administration

if you feel like that keep away from the march but I for one want tan out but I can't march that far due to scarred lungs from covid but if it's alright with the organisers I will join them closer to the ground to show my support

Yes he stumps up the cash to keep us going but thats it, we just exist with no future. Im not even talking about Riza as manager etc just look at all the other stuff, hardly anyone is running the club its like back thought for Tan/Choo/Dalm

I cannot support this protest, the aims of this march have very dire outcomes for the club we all support

...in your opinion.

You are also in a minority, which is fine. You are allowed your opinion.

If you are content with the current state of the club just because some Malaysian is paying the monthly tab, then that's your prerogative. The majority seem to be pissed off.

That’s your opinion, if you want to remain subservient to Vincent Tan then that’s fine. I don’t personally believe the club will go under due to this protest. We are more likely to go under due to the complete mismanagement of Tan and his team of buffoons.

What Tan is doing is having dire consequences for the club, and he is the reason for the divide within the fan base.

You surely cannot tell me that you fully believe that what he is doing with his shoestring budgets, lack of experience in the management team, on top of all other things is the right way to run the club.

Re: Protest March UPDATE

It is important here to understand Malaysian Culture and particularly the term "respect"

In the UK many of us use the phrase "respect is earned" and for us that is normal. In Malaysian culture it is different:

Respect is automatically expected by the older person

Those that remember the issues with Malky Mackay will recall that VT did not like receive advice from his younger colleague - that was one of the issues.

I think, with this culture, it is correct for us to form the view that VT (because he is older) expects us to automatically provide him with respect.

I also think that if this story is shown in Malaysia it will have a significant impact on him.

Just my personal opinion.

Tan puts £12 mill a year.

But between him, Tans Sons Company and Dalman they get back nearly £7mill in interest.

Plus Dalman’s and Choo’s wages well over a £1million for working in London and City pay them.

Plus they get Advertising, Expenses etc worth £millions.

95% want him gone the other 5% can go with him .JOIN THE MARCH 18th January u now it makes sense

Re: Protest March UPDATE

Tan has 4 choices:

1) Invest in the club and take us to the Premier League.

2) Sell the club now, at a premium price, whilst we are in the Championship

3) Sell the club when we are in division 1 and lucky to get £50m

4) Allow the insolvency people to take over the running of the club. Tan will get very little, and in all likelihood, the club will be sold "on the cheap" (By the insolvency people) to one of our interested buyers who will no doubt use the saved cash to invest in players.
