I would imagine he will be going back.

you can't just "send a player back" we've agreed to loan him until the summer, and have taken on his wages, we now have to negotiate with his parent club. about ending his loan spell early. they might be happy to have his wages off their books and have no intention of us sending him back, in that case we could effectively just not bother putting him in match day squads.

similar happened years ago when we had Ben Amos on loan from Bolton, we took over his wages, Warnock tried to send him back in january so he could sign Paddy Kenny, but bolton in massive financial issues, refused to allow us to send him back early

Given these difficult weather conditions I’d put him to work gritting the car park and surrounding walk ways but make him wear his full kit .
