“WE ARE LOOKING AT FREE TRANSFERS & LOANS TO COME IN & ISAAK DAVIES SHOULD SOLVE THE POSITION UPFRONT.”
“THE BOARD HAVE MY LIST & ITS LOOKING POSITIVE.”
Omer Riza:
“I am involved in my first ever transfer window in football, everything is in place.”
“We and the board have planned everything.”
“I can’t give you an answer on how soon (things will happen).”
“Hopefully sooner rather than later, but things can change.”
“Things are moving forwards and hopefully the processes will start now.”
“We need to have more impact going forwards. I think also maybe a little bit more security behind the front line. That is what I'll be looking for."

Omer Riza:
“We’ve already got players with pace we can use but sometimes they’re not available," Riza said about the squad's lack of pace.”
"Isaak Davies has not been available, Ash (Cian Ashford) has a bit of pace, Ollie (Tanner) has a bit of pace, but I think real, frightening pace is something that's lacking in the team at the moment and, yeah, that's something that we will be looking for.”
“Options are there for (permanent) transfers and potential loans. It's just about which ones come to fruition.”
“If we can get Isaak Davies fully back fit this month, I will have solved my optionss upfront.”
“We need two or three new players, then I think we will be ok in all departments.”

Omer Riza:
“I’m happy about the fact the list of players I want has gone in and it’s being looked at positively, by the board.”
“ Hopefully we can start to move forwards.”
There is likely to be a big player turnaround this month. Riza said three or four players could leave with two or three coming in to replace them which could result in an up to eight-player swing.
“We are looking at free transfers and loans to come in, with players moving the other way.”

Stating that our forward problem will be solved with Davies is a bit worrying.
Not only has he taken a long time to come back from injury which has and probably will recur again, but he isn’t going to bag us 15+ goals a season. This is what we need above all else.

Riza,
Should know we need more than David.
Davies has failed for years at Championship level and won’t get really fit till say February.
But he will cost us nothing as he is already here, so Riza is pleasing the Hierarchy.

So basically a player who has been out injured for 6 months and has never scored regularly at championship level is the answer to our scoring problem??
Anyone else fed up with the amount of absolute crap and bullshit that comes out of our club??

This is about making his bosses happy the Hierarchy and then if it all goes wrong they think we will just blame Riza.

Omer Riza:
“All conversations have taken place regarding players out of contract at the end of the year. Now it's the process of finalising and making decisions.”
"I’ve spoken to the board about who we feel could progress further forwards. Those processes have started. It all depends whether [the board] agree or not.”

Other than goal keeper we probably need a quality player at the back, mid and attack. I doubt whether we get quality just players other teams want to unload off their wage budget…

Don' t know who should have the clowns outfit now tan or maybe riza, issac davies is the man to get us out the sh.te and alm our problems upfront are solved and lack of goals will no longer be a problem when issac is back
Ffs give him the red nose,
has he seen davies just over 5 foot don' t bother putting crosses in for him it will go from wing to wing and he has been out of action all season and spent all last season in a B league in belgium
Might aswell throw the towel in now i despair riza spouting what he was told when he had his trip to malasysia to be told how its going to be.

Doesn't inspire any confidence at all.
Another note-
A JB I met at euros 2016 and are friendly-meet at wales away messaged, saying how much I disliked Tan and how embarrassing being a City fan was....in 2016!!!
Sounds dramatic but it's been traumatic..
While the JB takes any chance he can to dig at me.
If I was religious, I'd pray for Tan to be gone!!

Facing relegation and the answer to the problem is free transfers and loans?
This board is ridiculous, this owner is ridiculous!
So clearly Tan doesn’t mind League One then? Does he not realise this is going to happen?
Fri Jan 03, 2025 3:19 pm
Why doesnt a journalist just come out and ask the obvious question FFS
Why only freebies and loans???? This is the exact policy and strategy that has the Bluebirds in the bottom 3 with a rookie manager and a fans protest imminent.
You cant make it up.
Tan Invest! Pay a transfer fee! He clearly doesnt want to. There is his message to us.
Lets march .TAN OUT!

When was the last time we bought a player in the January window? There won't be much money spent this window across the Championship there never is unless you are in the top 6. People are being unrealistic if you think Tan shoud or even could spend millions now. Who'd join us? Premier league loan players are what we must target. My worry is thinking Isaac Davies is going add goals though. Highly doubtful even if he stays fit.We need another striker. Kaba and Hugill kept us up on loans in the past. We need the same.
Fri Jan 03, 2025 4:47 pm
So the notes on the trust meeting with Dalman and co state that Tan is 'fully committed to getting back to the premier league' but in the short term we must avoid relegation...and then we've got Mr upbeat Riza saying we've sorted out our attacking frailties by having a fit again Davies back??? I just don't get it???
Why are the board and Riza not showing any concern about the predicament we are in when most of us fans are absolutely bricking it???

At the end of the day we've got what we've got & nothing is going to change so we have to get behind the team & the manager and support them. Having a go at Riza every time he opens his mouth & complaining about him losing the plot or being an idiot does not help the team in any way. What do you honestly think will happen if he throws his arms in the air & says everything is shit & the owner is a muppet? Answers on a postcard or just let us know here in the thread what you honestly think will happen? Not what we all want to happen or pie in the sky thoughts but what you think will actually happen.
Here's what I think would actually happen, Tan will have Purse take over from Riza with no new players still & the same person at the top. Nothing at all will be any different & we'll still be in the relegation shit that we're in now.
We need to support the team not the regime and that includes this manager before we end up with Purse in charge of the team.
Fri Jan 03, 2025 7:37 pm
We need five players minimum to go into the first team.
Hope I'm wrong but we'll be lucky if we get a couple of decent players.
Fri Jan 03, 2025 8:30 pm
If it all goes wrong they will just blame Riza .Then purse will get the job .fixing this with frees and loans is gonna be a huge challenge.
As a club I hope we come through but the board are plonkers.
