Andre Gray

Released by Plymouth do a free agents. Scored 3 in 13. Could be worth a punt until end of the season? Certainly more of a goal threat than Meite, Kanga and Etete!

Sure, let’s bring in someone that the only team worse than us in the league don’t want. That’ll sort us right out.

No thanks.

Mark Hudson, captain of Charlton when relegated from the Championship, we signed him, did a marvellous job for us
David Marshall, Relegated with Norwich from the Championship, we signed him, marvellous job for us

just because their league position is lower than ours doesn't mean we shouldn't look at players. Although I've never been impressed with Grey, and I do think we need pace rather than a target man, doesn't mean we shouldn't look at other clubs because they are below us

Mark Hudson and David Marshall were players that City bought from their respective clubs, not a striker who is 33 and is unwanted and released by a club who are fighting for their lives.

So respectfully, I’m not sure your point about the two players above holds much.

Judging by rizas comments think this particular debate is irrelevant..... but one man's failure is another success b
No matter what position they play.

He's in our affordability bracket, anyway. :evil3:

Re: Andre Gray

Interestingly he only started 5 of those games too..

If its Andre Gray in his 40s I'd still have him over kanga.

Tbf when Plymouth signed him I said I would of taken him here. And still stand by that. 13 games 3 goals is not bad and when broken down to mins played which is 548 that's basically 1 in 2

Different team Different player lot of the time? As we are shopping in charity shop can we afford to cock nose up at someone who could be half decent and can help other forwards? That's if we're interested in him

Fair point

I'd rather Andre Previn than Kanga ( one for the older folks on here!)

Or Andre 2000 ( just to prove that I'm down with the kids too!)

Personally I think we need to consider him if no other options at least he can and have produced. Will he be a Rickie lambert who knows.
Just know he won't be a kanga

Can't see any harm in offering him a deal until the end of the season.

Wouldn't be a bad option to have.

He knows the league and as been said preference to some we have...... end season deal worth the money and risk

The club cant afford someone like him. (he would want a hefty wage)
With the peterborough enquiry it looks like we are looking at players from league 1 and league 2.
Maybe Mullin from Wrexham?

All wrong really.

Gray wasn't on much at Plymouth, so wouldn't want big money.

Mullin is 30 and scored two goals in League One this season so no Championship club are going after him.

He knows he’s not as in demand as he used to be.

Plymouth aren’t known for being big spenders so he can’t be asking for much.

I still don’t believe he’s worth looking at personally though.
