Let him play. If we lose Robertson or Siopsis through injury/suspension we are stuffed. What’s the point of having OUR player playing for someone else? His ‘education’ could be best served by being around better players on a better standard. Too much Molly cudddling. He’s a professional footballer not a schoolboy

He can then come back in the summer and properly fight for the First Team.
Either keeping him at Cheltenham or loaning him to a League One club like Bristol Rovers is the most beneficial.
If he came back to us, the mostly likely outcome would be he'd play 20 minutes here and there or be back playing U21 football.
That wouldn't help him at all.
So I think this is the right decision.

I believe his long term development is more important than him sitting on our bench.
People want to believe he's come back and play 15 games in full for us - it just wouldn't happen.
He will be a good Championship player but not yet, it's better to leave him where he is so he can keep building his confidence.
Funnily enough most of the people who say he should come back are the same people who constantly try to convince themselves that his brother is a good player.

I’m glad that you said ‘most’ as I’m certainly not in that category

“Joel, we’ve got interest from League One for him, which I think would be really good for him and would be good for his education.
Definitely Bristol Rovers and Exeter. Bolton have other players they’re looking at. There are other clubs as well. So there are lots of potential clubs interested.
"When I was at Arsenal I went out to League Two, then League One, it's very good for the experience and very good for the learning of the player. When he comes back in he will be ready to go, hopefully.
“He’s been brilliant. That’s credit to him and to Cheltenham for giving him the opportunity. He is playing well there and enjoying it. You need to be out of your comfort zone to improve.
"It's not definite he is going out anywhere, he might stay at Cheltenham, he might go out [on loan somewhere else]. That could last right up until the end of the window."
