Interesting Omer Riza / Vincent Tan ???

Tue Jan 07, 2025 7:21 pm

I never knew all this , some but not that Omer Riza relegated as a Manager Leyton Orient out of The Football League:

Why I am saying this, I am baffled how Vincent Tan has put Omer Riza in charge of Our Club and if Relegated the Value of Cardiff City could decrease by as much as £50mill.

I do not Blame Riza was taking the Cardiff Job, NO one else would or had ever offered him a proper Managers Job , He Sucked up to Tan, Wants nothing , so I don’t blame him at all for taking the Job.

“ REMEMBER VINCENT TAN / DALMAN KEEP STATING THEIR PLAN / AIM IS THE PREMIER LEAGUE?? ? “

Omer Riza:

Cheshunt FC:His player-manager position was made permanent in November 2013.

He scored 17 goals during that season, but damaged his cruciate ligament in one of his knees in a charity match in June 2014,

He was sacked from his Cheshunt Management position in September 2014.

He had a short spell as assistant manager for Heybridge Swifts, between December 2014 and February 2015, but was relived of his duties after 2 months.

On 30 March 2017, following the resignation of Daniel Webb as manager of Leyton Orient, Riza was promoted from his role as assistant manager and placed in charge until the end of the 2016–17 season.

In his first game as manager, on 1 April, Orient lost 0–2 to Wycombe Wanderers and Riza was sent to the stands for verbally abusing referee Charles Breakspear.

Three weeks later, after losing to Crewe Alexandra, Orient were relegated to the National League, ending the club's 112 years in the Football League.

Riza had 8 games in charge, at orient.

We had one point when he took over. A poison chalice
if ever there was one.

Well by the end of the season this will probably be his second club he’s taken down. Nothing really against Riza, as you can’t blame him wanting a big opportunity. This is all down to the three Amigos running the club

I have nothing against Riza.

He's clearly not a Championship level manager, from what we've seen I don't think he's learnt anything since his time at Leyton Orient.

But he is giving it his all because he knows he obviously won't get a chance like this again. Of course he's a yes man, because otherwise he wouldn't have got the job.

The real people responsible are the board.

They have seen how serious a possibility relegation is. It was clear to everyone we needed a manager with some sort of experience, even if it was someone like Lamouchi who did a good job last time we were in this position.

The only people it wasn't clear to was the board for some reason.
