EXPERIENCED CHAMP PLAYERS OR ROOKIES ?

Wed Jan 08, 2025 1:20 pm

Was just thinking as we are in a dodgy situation what would be best to stave off relegation,
bring in 2 youngsters after shipping out 2 of ours reindorf and colwill ,
or bring in some experianced championship old pro' s,
as we seem to be lacking old wise heads apart from joe ralls.

We already have ready have playing bagan ashford colwill tanner do we need more youngsters or more older ?
i personally don' t have the answer apart from a proven championship manager which i would prefer to riza.

We probably need a bit of both. We need the young unleashed talent of a Doyle and a Drameh with the experienced guile of a hugill. Those 3 players all added their own quality to us when we had them

Well look at what Doak is doing at Boro, we could use someone like him.

I’d prefer to stay away from the old heads personally, we need some fight, pace, willingness to run and ultimately players who are fighting to get more recognition from their parent clubs if they are loans

A bit of both is ideal.

But given a choice between the two, it would be young players - either on loan from the PL or some of the most promising from League One.

The issue is you have to spend money for both of those. I'm not convinced that's likely.

We certainly don't want to go for experienced players like we have done in the past, I'm thinking about Rickie Lambert.

Great for us but wouldn’t have him back here now. 35 now and hasn’t really played any decent level since he left us
