Another we let slip,

Monty. He was royally slagged off as lazy and a shite player by many here on the forum. And that he didn’t/wouldn’t score goals. He didn’t track back etc.
Hull paid £5m for him.
Personally I loved him as a player. But I don’t think he would have shone as much here as he did for Hull, because of the style we have played.
Secondly, why is he being loaned out and/or sold on, each season? Something isn’t right on that front.

He lacks motivation and drive! Blows hot and cold that's why he never stays at club flatters to deceive ... £21m over inflated price

Fee includes add ons so I assume a good amount of that depends on international caps, goals and Ipswich staying up.

Villa bought him back in the summer for £14m after selling him to Hull for £5m so they've got some of their money back again.

We were under an embargo I believe so we couldn’t have signed him

All that’s wrong with football already over 40 million in transfer fees paid for him and he really has done nothing yet Villa have quickly got rid of him after bringing him back. He has moments of brilliance agreed but still nothing really done
Type of player who would have a brilliant highlight video thou

TBF there weren't many on here who were screaming out for us to pay the £5m asking price. Too inconsistent seemed to be the general comment (including from me) :bluescarf:
