Very interesting to see what happens next…

Personally, I’d see how he goes until late January before contemplating sending him out again and even then, I’d make it to a League 1 club or nowhere. Players like him, Cian Ashford and others (as we saw last night) are important for our future…

Well done Joel, a good few months at Cheltenham.

Will be interesting to see what happens now. I have said for a while that I would favour a loan to League One because it would be the best from his development - won't help him sitting on the bench for us.

Going to Exeter. This is what Riza has said:

Right decision, he needs more of a challenge than L2.

Lets hope he still gets regular game time.

I absolute do not agree. Nonsense - next year he will be good to go. What happens if we get more experienced players in/back? Stop Molly cuddling he’s a professional footballer not a schoolboy. Get him back now training and playing with quality international players

I think this is stupid and unsettling to go to another club half way through the season. If they don’t want to leave him where he’s at, then bring him back and give him a chance.

But in reality, he wouldn't play many games for us.

It's nice to think that he will but he just wouldn't.

Far better for him to go to League One and play games regularly.

Good move in his progression i feel if he's a hit there he can do it in the championship for us .

This has been well managed by Riza...excelled league 2 can he maintain league 1? If so he has a great chance with us next season in championship...should we stay up of course

This should turn out to be a good move. Move up to league one and with a team that has a good record of developing young players.

I would have back here he needs games in the championship ,
We nearly farmed out both ashford and tanner fans where calling for them to be sent away,
sunderland stuck it out with there youngsters and look where they are.

If he played for us he couldn’t go out on loan again. Only allowed to play for two clubs in a season.

Quality international players?

You ain’t finding those here.
