Tom Davies has today joined Newport County on a permanent basis.

We'd like to thank Tom for his hard work over the years and wish him the very best of luck for the future.

Tom Davies came through Cardiff’s Academy and showed so much promises.

Was sent out on loan to Welsh League / Scottish League and has now ended up joining permanently League 2 Newport County at the age of 21.

Sadly yet another who never made it for us.

Strange that he has been included on bench recently to be let go permanently

Well done all round, we can’t keep them forever.

We have made a decision and he is in L2 so a great start for him

All the best to the lad but the club has to make decisions an most of us hate to see local talent leave ,so best of luck to him

Not every player who comes out of a clubs academy is going to make it with that club, look at how many youngsters Man City and the like end up selling to lower divisions.
