Omer Riza on last week's red card incident and him being charged:



"I wasn't happy with my own actions if I'm being honest, very uncharacteristic of me.

But sometimes you're fuelled by things that happen. There's three or four instances in the game from Franco that I wasn't happy with, aimed at me.

I'm not going to divulge what happened. I put down what I felt happened to the FA. Hopefully they'll read it and show some compassion.

But that's it, I accept whatever decisions are made. We got a good result, 3-0, and we move forwards as quickly as we can.

I've said from day one what I want to try to do here, whether it's with performances and actions, it's to try and bring a togetherness to the club with fans, the owners, players, staff and the city.

Hopefully we've done that a little bit again and we can continue to try to grow that energy."

I can’t fault Riza one bit for his actions.

Personally, I’m not sure I’d have been able to stomach being in the dugout for the biggest game of my career, less than 48 hours after my father has passed. Especially knowing it would be such a highly charged atmosphere.

It shows an immense dedication to the club and his players and a huge strength of character.

Franco is a rat of a player.

On a positive, Riza made some new fans because of his antics.

I hope I am wrong but I get the feeling he may have made some remarks regarding the death of his father which, if the case, makes him out to be a horrible human being.

Would love to know what Franco did. I am sure he'll get a warm welcome next time he comes here
