Meeting of the Tan Out group with Dalman and Choo

Fri Jan 24, 2025 3:58 pm

So as a number will be aware our group continues. Continues to grow, get stronger, and also will continue to work tirelessly to find new ways of telling the dictator that his time at the club is up.

We will continue to be a 'toothache' for the Dictator and his partners in crime.

We are not 'full of ourselves', not in it to promote ourselves. Neither do we have a 'look at me' attitude, and there are certainly no egos within the group.

We simply support our football team, and are looking to a new broom to not only turn our club fortunes around but also to bring excitement, enthusiasm and passion back to the supporters after years of having this knocked out of us.

Now, we have the ear of Dalman and Choo. We are not the FAB or the Trust. We have been asked to a meeting where we will not be afraid to ask the difficult questions, and challenge where we see and hear answers that are intended to either confuse us, put us down or tell us everything is OK.

We are supporters. We don't know everything, but we are not stupid. We will not be soft soaped during the meeting.

I am writing, as myself and Dan want to know what questions YOU want us to put to thise who purport to be custodians of our club.

We will only have limited time to ask questions so may not get to ask all that are requested of us.

Dan and I will look at all your questions and ask as many as we are able. Please PM me with your questions. There will be a closing time of next Friday evening to allow us time to go through all of them and prioritise.

Once the meeting has been held we will be very open with the fans as to what has been said. We will not be held over a barrel. We will demand complete honesty and openness.

Let's start to put the pressure on the Dictator.

Cardiff City fans are back.

The main question that needs asking.
Is after super advisors and 70 days.
Why did we appoint the most inexperienced manager we could find.

One thing I want to know is:

Tan told us we would be completely debt free including to him as he would write debt off.

Why hasn’t this happened and why are we now also paying a lot of interest to Dalman.

Is the sale of the club dependant on the outcome of the Sala case .If it is then if the decision is in your favour then do you intend intend to
A - Fully back the manager with signing decent players
B- hire a director of football to run the playing and recruitment side properly
C- lose the case and cut your losses

There seems to be no figurehead at the club who’s here on a regular basis including match days. Will we have a DoF type person?

Johnny. will the minutes of the meeting be made public.

I don’t believe you’ll drive Tan out but well done with your work to get them listening to the proper fans.
I’ll be interested to read the minutes.

And herein lies the thing.... Dan, myself and the committee will decide whether we go in and demand minutes are taken so as to confirm everything that was said. This in itself could lead to a few issues including, not least, sharing the outcome as we would like.

Or do we demand that NO minutes are taken and we are left to share the answers provided by the board freely as we see fit.

This question will set the tone for the meeting. It HAS to be based on trust and honesty. I have a feeling that the latter scenario gives us the better chance of making sure ALL the information that is discussed gets aired. That includes questions that the board may refuse to answer.

Thanks for the questions please keep them coming.

Either please can someone keep this thread near or at the top of the board or an the questions be PM'd to me.

Cheers guys...

I don’t understand the logic here?

Why would not having minutes taken provide better transparency?

Technically tans written of most of debt as he's swapped debt for equity eventually you would think rest will be exchanged in same way so its his debt not clubs.. as for dalman he's put in £30m ? so that's the new buyers problem if/when they arrive.... other problem is tan asking for enough money so he can get his money back or is it to cover dalmans debt won't really find out if/when it happens

I'm led to believe, but happy to be corrected, that meetings the club have had with formal fan groups recently, the club has not readily released the minutes in an acceptable time frame.

The minutes I believe have to be 'signed off' by the club. I wonder if the fans themselves would rather see the honest raw answers that could be provided by the fans present.

Everything that is said, I want to be relayed to the proper fans of the club.

Keith Morgan of the Supporters Trust regularly posts notes and minutes from meetings they’ve had with the club’s hierarchy, positives and negatives.

I think it’s a bit ironic to demand a meeting based on trust and honesty and then assume the club won’t release minutes they’re not happy with.

Ultimately, if the minutes are released and anything is redacted or misconstrued, nothing is stopping an anonymous forum or twitter user from providing their version of events.

Just to confirm we haven't demanded the meeting. The club themselves have requested the meeting.

As I say we have yet to decide the basis on which we will meet. Whichever way we decide to go, all at the meeting will be left in no doubt that every single thing said will be relayed to the fans.

If no minutes are taken how will what was said be remembered?

And if there are two versions on any particular issue it makes the whole thing a sham and renders the meeting pointless .

All valid points.

We want to make sure that all points raised and questions answered are 1. ACCURATELY documented 2. Released for approval QUICKLY 3. Allowed to be SHARED amongst all rank and file supporters.

There is plenty of time to discuss and I hold my thoughts very lightly. It's certainly not my way or the highway.

And that’s the part that is being overlooked. It’s clear there has been investment in the Club, otherwise there would be no need for debt. We’ve signed players like Robertson, Turnbull and Salech for fees, and others like Ramsey and El Ghazi. Yes they may not have all worked out but most fans were buzzing at the time and for whatever reasons sometimes it just doesn’t work out. So there has been investment, just we seem to be very good at wasting a load of money through bad decisions.

That’s 100% True Jonny.

The Hierarchy have come to us.

Not like Morgan and the Trust who go begging to them and are afraid to upset them

Great idea get fans in here to put questions to them and sensible and straight hard questions.

Tan said he would make us debt free and if we wanted him gone he would leave us in good shape. How does he intend doing that?

You could ask them if it’s ok to record the meeting and post it so all fans can hear the replies straight from the horses mouth so to speak.

I’ve also send you a message with a question :thumbright:

Well 90% of clubs debt is his so when he leaves it goes with him.... that leaves dalmans debt to sort out... we live in hope he will be gone soon!

£32mill is owed to Dalman and £10mill to a Compony, both at interest , We were told this would not happen??
