Matt Grimes signs for Coventry on a three and a half year deal for around £3.5m
Updated
Looks like Grimes to Coventry is going to be done.
2 Bids already put in and they are saying he's put in a transfer request.
The whole place is falling down around them, and their captain is jumping ship

Poor little Swansea town.
Couldn’t have happened to a better bunch of 7 fingered people.

Hate to say it but he is a quality player at this level and a great signing for Coventry.
Massive massive player for the Jacks to lose, can't imagine they're best pleased.
Things seem to be falling apart there, which is odd when things looked rosy last month.

Ned even though things looked OK on surface because of some results behind scenes fans not happy with Williams style play or Coleman their majority share holder saying get players in but like tan they don't happen like at moment....Their recruitment policies have not really changed still buying/loan under 23s who are not settling at championship level ... Williams on very thin ice rumours he had 3 games lost one two to go....

Will he be signed in time to play against the Jacks on Saturday?

I think he will be a great loss to them.
Many Jacks saying they will pay the uber to get him out. A bit disrespectful considering he has given them 10 years and has been a good servant.

Understand Coventry City have made a third bid for Matt Grimes. Swansea value their skipper at around £4m and deal is now though to be close

HUGE loss for the jacks. He's slotted into the Leon Brittan role for a decade. It's how they tick.
He doesn't seem to be as dominant as previous years; £4M feels alot, but probably the going rate.
I'd have said Coventry need more firepower and had some decent/similar players when we played them twice this year.
I can't see the jacks turning this down for the annual finance reporting for FFP.

Coventry City have made a third bid for Swansea City captain Matt Grimes.
The Sky Blues have seen two offers rejected by Swansea but remain hopeful of landing the midfielder before the transfer window closes next Monday.
There are suggestions that a bid of between £3.5m and £4m may be enough to convince Swansea to sell.
Grimes signed a contract extension running until 2027 at Swansea last August.
But the 29-year-old can expect a significant pay rise should he make the move to Frank Lampard's Coventry.
The loss of Grimes would leave Swansea even more desperate for new faces before the mid-season transfer comes to an end.

Bid now accepted. He's played 301 of their last 305 games! Mental by Swansea

4m is a steal for Coventry. This tells me jack's desperate for money to accept a low offer for a proven championship midfielder

Not one for baiting the Jacks but this is so funny seeing how sensitive they are about this sort of stuff
