Yet we send virtually every 18yr/19/ 20 yr out and make out they will be ok to return and make it for us and they never do because they were not good enough in the first place.
Age means nothing if you’re good enough.

But every player is different and can improve at their own pace. To keep saying that players who haven’t made it at 21 will never be good enough is rubbish.

Your right this kid is 19 and not made it yet and won't for another season or two..spurs scorer yesterday was 17 so its am individual development thing...ours are older simply because those that could make it at 17/ 18 are usually taken before they reach 16 by big clubs... if only football was an exact science...

Very confusing? He's not good enough for Leicester 1st team squad so they loan him to championship! We loan the same age player to div 1 because he doesn't make it to our 1st team squad what's the difference? Because the reaction between the two same scenarios are miles apart...

Get tired of double standards regarding city.....Leicester are loaning youngster to us a lower
league club that's great were told but if City loan out youngster to lower league club its not good youngster should be in 1st team squad at their age like say double standards...

More fool us, Brown did he come through City’s Accademy and did we not say Poole was to small and released him and as to Lockyer we gave him away and never sent him out on loan, did we not?
What has happened to players sent out on loan and returned that’s an interesting question Forever Blue keeps asking but no one replies?

They dissappear into the depths of football wannabes... most seasons there are over a thousand players mostly youngsters fighting to get a contract after been let go by parent club like city.... sending out on loan is a simple cheap way to get them off books until their contract ends .... this applies to all levels of football premier league down....but if good enough they'll come back and get 2yr contract... so in reply to your question they simply dissappear quietly forgotten by fans ..

No idea but probably not a lot I was just giving a summary as to what happens in football.....as I said I suspect most are sent out on loan to get them off the books... premier league clubs generally do it to give players experience of real competitive games.... in response to other post my question was why is it OK for premier league clubs to send players out to Lower league teams like us! but some on here for city to send to Lower leagues club is wrong? Like said double "standards "

Premier league to the Championship on loan is a great standard to see how well they will do, Championship in the top ten leagues in Europe.
If Premier were sending say to league two that really would be low.

Villa sent Louie Barry to Stockport in League One. He did well so now he's at Hull on loan.
No different to us sending Joel Colwill to Cheltenham and then Exeter really.
