In over twenty years who’s the best team we’ve played in this league,Leeds this year 10-0 Aggregate,Newcastle were dominant but didn’t better that.West ham beat us but never regular really..
There must be someone else?

Reading's team of 2006 were way better than anyone else, compared to the difference between them and everyone else. Think they've still got the record for the most points. Remember them putting five past us.

But the best we played against I think is QPR under Warnock in 2011. I'm not the biggest fan of Warnock as most know, but they ran rings past us and Taraabt was unplayable.

That Reading side were the best team I’ve seen at this level.

Maybe not the best we have played but that West Ham playoff semi final always sticks with me when we couldn't lay a glove on them physically.

Today they were just too quick for us and to say we approached the game rather cavalier is an understatement. The table says the top 4 are in their own league, we needed to respect that more.

But hindsight is 20/20

Not the Championship then, it was the Second Division, but Forest in about 1977. They were only around mid table at the time but were about to go on a run that got them promoted and then win the First Division within about 18 months. They had a side full of players that I hadn't head of then but went on to become household names such as Tony Woodcock and Viv Anderson. They took us apart playing a style of football I hadn't seen before. They won 3-0 but it should have been more. (Amazingly we beat them 1-0 away towards the end of the season.

Also Newcastle in 1983. Our defence did their best to keep at bay a forward line of Keegan, Beardsley and Waddle. For good measure they had Terry McDermott running the midfield.
