Rubin Colwill

We should be looking to bring in another number ten before the window closes.

That would enable us to give Rubin Colwill a loan to League One, somewhere he will play games and hopefully do well.

He's not going to get games for us this season. Not good enough but playing games regularly in League One could help him.

Alves can play as a number ten but he's being brought in as a winger.

So hopefully we can bring in a number ten and loan out Rubin.

Robertson is playing 10 and Rambo is edging back to fitness.

True, but think we need another player because of numbers in that position before anyone can leave. Can't rely on the fitness of Ramsey and Turnbull is still injured.

I'd send him to Belgium and repurpose him or make him understand the position is not a free ride (similar to Robinson as well) you need to graft and do the dirty stuff.
He needs to be a modern-day 8, up and down the field with the ball at his feet, the deeper he is the better for me

I can get behind this.
In a perfect world sell him on, in the real world let him go.

Ramsey too slow for ten, we saw that beginning of the season, we couldn’t press. Colwill is inconsistent, Robertson is not a number ten he’s a central midfielder.

Ashford as a ten??? Worth a punt.

This was supposed to be Rubin Colwills break through year. It's not happening. Constantly playing for a struggling side can't be helpful so I have a degree of sympathy. A loan may be helpful to build confidence but my honest opinion is hes not going to be a Premier league player or even a top Championship player. His decisions let him down. If a decent offer came in I'd wish him well and let him go.

I think this is the money shot for next season.

I love the tracking back, turning bigger players, that bit of aggression and he is decent in front of goal.

I think Rubin has all the skill in the world, but isn't an instinctive forward. I think a spell away from Cardiff would do him the world of good. He is a CM but not our version of a CM.

I don't think I've ever been so torn over a player.

He's won games single handed, like QPR and Forest away in recent years, but his figures are poor and his general play has deteriated.

I don't know if it's working for him. Ashford has come into the team and demonstrated decision making and composure and bagged some goals and assists.

I honestly don't know what's best at this point.

Agree with that.

He isn’t consistent enough at all. He has his moments but they aren’t often enough for him to be considered our starting number 10.
