Omer Riza Sweating on City player:
Riza sweating on Daland after 'nasty'-looking injury
Omer Riza is sweating on the fitness of Jesper Daland ahead of the Championship clash with Portsmouth tomorrow night.
He was injured in the incident that led to the penalty and it could now see him miss the game against Pompey, meaning Dimitrios Goutas will likely be partnered by either Will Fish or Joel Bagan, unless Riza decides to drop Calum Chambers back into the back line. However, he will be reluctant to do so given how he has flourished in that midfield role of late.
"I've not seen it back, but Jesper said he kicked the ball, not the man, and the man has caught his leg. It's quite a nasty one," the manager said of the penalty and injury incident after the FA Cup win.

As good a way of telling us he's dropped.

There seems to be a pattern developing here.

I remember when he played at home for first time, against Middlesbrough.
I criticised his performance and loads of people said "why do you always criticise our players, give him a chance". Maybe it was too early to judge him.
But apart from a few occasions, he has struggled to adapt to the Championship.
With him injured again, I wouldn't be against Fish having a run of games. He's waited patiently and let's see how he does for the next two or three at least.

Time for Fish to take his chance. Daland has been inconsistent but seen enough to think he can improve and be decent much like McGuinness took his time.

I hope he's not a Fish out of water (sorry)!
He looked good in our FA Cup tie at Sheffield Utd.
