Robbo please can you try and get back onside before the ball is played , it’s getting really frustrating now to hear that f*cking whistle time n time again , it only takes an extra second to be quicker ,
But anyway thanks for the goals so far , keep going and if you hit 20 goals I will get the de ager bombs in :ayatollah: :occasion5: :bluebird:

Agree.

I'd drop him for Salech on Saturday anyway.

I honestly don't think he's a lazy player but he has to be more quick thinking on the pitch and more aware of what's happening around him.

He needs to stop walking everywhere & try running for a change, especially coming back from a forward position. The ball has to be right on his foot, not an inch to the side, not an inch in front & certainly not an inch behind him or he starts waving his arms around like he's trying to take off.

He’s scored some important goals for us this season no question. But I just can’t like him at all as a player, he infuriates me. As has already been pointed out if he put as much effort into closing down as he does throwing his arms around maybe I could like him. Salech has to start on the weekend, but there’s no doubt he won’t.

Got his contract now so no reason for him to put the effort it.

He needs to stop moaning at the others when it’s not going right, dig in and play the game

He would have been better playing behind Salech tonight. The 3 starting midfield was imbalanced

Ned, sadly we have seen players who do that; no names mentioned in case Tomlin is reading this! ;) :laughing6:

I thought he did ‘okay’ up front tonight once we got into the game and he does work hard trying to find routes to goal; BUT there is an issue with him tracking back seemingly half-heartedly and it is rare to see him put in a genuine challenge that might retrieve even a 50/50 ball

However, regarding the OP’s ‘offside’ gripe, I thought the one obvious situation tonight was not really his fault after the ball was erroneously passed out by the Pompey keeper and intercepted by one of our players who sent it straight to Robinson for him to slide it into the net with no time to get back ‘onside’ and being ruled ‘offside

On another day, a defender would have played him ‘onside’ and we’d have been celebrating his goal

I suppose it’s the age-debated issue of a striker who does nothing if he doesn’t score goals! We can refer to Man City’s Haaland for the biggest example of that; only he does goal-scoring for fun! :ayatollah:

He gets bullied, the ball doesn't stick when it goes up via a long ball , he is alright when going forward with the the ball but offside so many times. Salech needs to start.
