Judging by available home tickets on the Villa website, they've only given us the standard 3k allocation.

It would be great to continue a cup run, I love Villa Park and always enjoyed my visits there. But is this dickhead we got in charge going to put out a team which will at least give us a fighting chance? Or will he put out a load of fringe players and youth stating that we need to keep our first team fresh for the league games? There's no point in doing that because I believe we are shite anyway and going down with this muppett in charge. I hope we go there and give Villa a game, maybe they will take us too lightly and we could spring a surprise. Wishful thinking. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

I'll be there.

Will be embarrassing if we don't sell out, especially as everyone will see our away support on ITV.

Every other club would easily sell the full allocation at an away game against a Champions League team.

We have to sell all these tickets.

Unfortunately, not everyone is a school kid and most people in the real world will have to work until 5pm.

Myself and many others won't finish work in time to be able to get through the rush hour traffic to make kick off.

I will be stunned if we manage to sell as many as 4k to be honest.

Well even Carlisle would sell out.

Bristol City midweek took 7,000 to West Ham.

We Sold out everywhere in the Premiership , Midweek and Saturday’s.

Of course some can’t make it. But We have a Massive Fan Base to chose from and as some don’t go
Others can.

Even Bradford City Div 4 Club, going to Brum away this week in the night, Mickey Mouse Cup, Sold their Allocation of 3,000.

I have to say some of our fans always make excuses, Weather, Xmas, prices, times, it’s on tv, roads busy.
Some will say oh Sunday, oh Friday oh 8pm oh 12:30pm.

Just 2 Clubs to come to us this season, for Normal League Ganes:

Plymouth 3,500 12:30pm 2 yrs running.
Portsmouth 2,500 Midweek

I can get from Spain I land in Birmingham about 2pm.

Exactly, it's the short notice of the game unexpectedly being on a Friday instead of the Saturday, which will restrict availability.

It's not that unexpected though, Birmingham are at home on the Saturday so always unlikely to be the same day as them.

As the OP said some will make it others can’t, I live in Barnet, I will pick my kids up as in school in England and the three of us will be there. We did seem to all make it in the Premier and it’s not short notice to leave work an hr or two early, two weeks notice. We could not ask for a better draw and if it was a Sat, some would say sons playing football, got to work At morning.
Big let’s turn up and get behind the boys and no more moaning.

I tend to agree. Timing is unfortunate and will affect the numbers travelling to Villa Park but I think it will be a high turnout in comparison to most games this season and c.4k would be very good IMHO

Those travelling will need to make allowances for Friday evening traffic, too! :ayatollah:
