A forum for all things Cardiff City

Had a look on their forum this morning.
Always like to have a look and see what was being said after playing a certain team.
The majority of posters are saying that Colwill was by far the best player on the pitch, a couple even saying that he’s the only player on the pitch who will go on to play in the prem.
If only he had the consistency

This confirms what I’ve thought for a while; Bristol people are thick as f@ck.
Dreadful first half, good last 20 mins imo.

The reviews he's been getting may well have come to the attention of Premiership scouts. I wouldn't be surprised if someone comes in with an offer this summer.

Seen him get a bit of stick after Saturday but I actually thought it was one of his better games.
Voted for him for MOTM ahead of Mannsverk, just because I've been so critical of him at times and he had a good game.
But I know I sound like a stuck record, but he will go nowhere without the consistency. Decision making is poor too.
I would still get rid of him at the end of the season, probably on loan. I think a change of scenery for a year would do him the world of good.

Agree totally (apart from I voted Mannsverk as mom).

Whatever league we are in next year I think the 2 Colwill brothers will have a big part to play next year. 2 young lads of our own - great.

I think he improved immensely when Ramsey came on, Colwill was always looking for him when he had the ball. He may be someone that needs better players around him to give him the confidence & bring out the best in him.

That’s a fair point.

If his run, Cruyff turn and shot went in, it would have been one of the goals of the season. Who can forget his goal against them last season too.
Clearly, he needs to be more consistent. I thought he had a mixed game Saturday. An inconsistent first half doing some good things, but some other things he tried didn't come off.
I thought he had a slow start in the second half, but came more and more into the game towards the end. Dropping deeper allowed him to get on the ball more and make some powerful forward runs.
What pleased me the most was how he finished the game. He really started turning it on and I don't think he could have done that a season or two ago, he would have tired. Hopefully, Colwill's fitness levels are improving and he can start producing more consistent performances for a full 90 minutes.
He better start performing consistently soon though, because his performances had taken a severe drop before the Stoke game and he will be turning 23 in a couple of months.

I thought he was very poor first half and I wouldn't have been surprised if he was hooked at half time. He was trying some flicks and stuff and just a simple pass would be better. Then he is so poor at heading a ball, in fact he ducks when the ball comes anywhere near his head. Second half he was a lot better especially when Ramsey came on, but a few times he took it too far and lost possession, but has been said if he kept up his consistency he could be one hell of a player

Would be great in a top team imo
