OMER RIZA:
"For me, fans want to see players who have been brought into the club play. We see the players every day. We know how they train and how they perform.
Roko has come in and he's working hard and I've always said it - I said it about Michael Reindorf in the past - he is a good lad, works his socks off, wants to do well, but you've got to be better than the players in your position to get in front of them. At the moment, Roko's not.
If you look at his finishing, he doesn't finish like some of our players can. If you look at his hold-up, he can't hold up like other players can. He is a willing runner, but we've got willing runners, Isaak Davies is a willing runner and he is quick, the quickest in the team. Ashford is a willing runner, powerful, strong.
Look, he is here and part of the squad, working hard. But for me, he is a long way off starting. There is stiff competition. His attitude and character is good and he works hard, but we've got to win games and pick the right teams and the right players to do the job."

That sounds like a long winded ‘he’s not very good but we’re stuck with him’.

And he cost how much?
Perhaps he'll come good but sometimes the recruitment policy at the club is a real head scratcher.

I agree mate. Some good choices but some are completely bizarre!!

So he can run - but not fast. He is not very good at scoring and his hold up play is poor. One question - what the hell is he doing here?

Agree with the other comments, it's a strange one.
He obviously has potential because Sunderland were also looking at him last summer.
But he was a "club signing", designed to play the season at Kortrijk. Obviously it didn't work out for him there.
Now we are hearing from Riza that he's not overly impressed.
The most sensible thing to do is to put him with the U21s until the end of the season and see if it helps him learn a few things.
Would not be surprised to see him loaned out in the summer.
The fact that we signed Salech after Simic came back, tells me that nobody really had any belief he was capable of leading the line for us this season.

Wow Managers will usually protect their younger players but that is pretty brutal
I will make a prediction he won’t ever start a league game for us…might get a 10 minute cameo or a cup game but nothing else
Bulut wasn’t impressed and neither is Riza so yet another waste of money signing

Something still doesn’t sit right with this signing.
Why would he pay so much money for a player, to loan him straight out. When we needed a striker, and tan could earn a lot more money getting us promoted than them staying in their league.

Keifer Moore the only decent striker we have signed in a good while.

You don't know that, Salech has had a good start and will surely improve as he gets used to the league.

Reminds me of David Giles
