Hope we don't sit back tomorrow

Fri Feb 21, 2025 8:18 pm

That would be the worst game plan against Plymouth.

They will go at us from the start with their long balls, long throws and set pieces.

If we start the game with a defensive approach then it will be another away game where we find ourselves a couple of goals down early on.

Scoring the first goal is key. Plymouth have only won two of 25 games when they've conceded the first goal.

Did the look a big side in the game v Luton?

Yes, got a couple of new signings who are tall.

Their new CB called Katic looks dangerous.

They play mostly long balls and their goal came from a long throw.

Hopefully Salech can help in defence as well as attack then.

Riza is too inexperienced, and as a fan not a football professional i hate to hear "our Quality" because of the misguided "trust the process" tropes that all these new inexperienced managers trot out.

"The battle" discounts "quality" it's why the FA cup is the competition it is. Not a game to start Robinson (conveniently injured not dropped), ElGhazi, Willock or Rubin although Rubin has a little about him sometimes. I hope Ralls and Chambers are fit

Need to front up and win the battle then show our quality, but we are two places above relegation so i think he is overestimating our quality.

We have to go forward as much as possible.

No sitting back, inviting pressure.

If we want three points, let’s go for it!

If we sit back and invite Plymouth on to us and give them the space then I can only see 3 points today and it wont be to Cardiff, we need to be up at them from kick off, This game is all about Riza and how he sets us up to play which frightens the live out of me because I think Riza will see a draw as a good result for us and we will be set up to defend most of the game resulting in a stupid mistake which will give them the points, sorry but no trust in Riza what so ever, come end of Match and Tan will push the panic button and Riza will be gone and god knows what will happen after that, just my opinion.

I don’t have any confidence in Riza to even pick his best side out away record shows how inexperienced he actually is when you look at the Coventry game we were winning and his substitutions lost us the game because when leading he sits back and brings pressure on our defence just an observation
