If we'd conceded late on

Sat Feb 22, 2025 6:32 pm

This forum would be full of comments talking about the game.

The fact is we defended resolutely and saw the game out to get a point, yet there's not many people talking about the game?

Funny, it's almost like some want us to lose sometimes.

To be fair, I'm sure that's not the case - but it is interesting that it always seems busier on here when we lose.

There would be a lot more threads on here if there was a late winner for Plymouth.

There would have been a lot more threads if we'd managed to score a late winner too!

I think a lot of people are beginning to get very worried about the fact that games are starting to run out fast now and for whatever reason we're just not able to win games of football.

There's just no indication of us being able to put together a run of wins that we need to pull away from the bottom three.

Two points from a run of three games including two teams who were below us when we played them together with a long injury list, poor defending, individual mistakes, players out of form and an inexperienced management team means that avoiding relegation is likely to depend on three other clubs being worse than us.

The forum is always busier when we lose, that's just a fact. I've never understood it. The only time it's been what I'd call busy after a win was the Swansea game.

As to your last point, yes we will stay up because there are worse teams and that's not showing a huge amount of ambition from us.

I've made the decision to not overly criticise Riza because the alternative is far, far worse.

People think if he went, we'd bring in a manager with a decent record in England - not happening.

I'm not sure that we'll stay up but I fully agree that if Riza did go there is no chance we'd bring in a decent manager to replace him.

The limit of the club's ambition would appear to finish the season in in 21st position although Tan is probably still convinced that we will make the play-offs!
