Team News:

Goutas Starts a 3 match Ban/

Jon Alnwick is out injured.

Jak Alnwick has a hamstring injury after today and will miss the game in midweek.

Turnbul March to get back.

"Jesper has had his scans. He had his stitches, he had eight stitches in his shin," Riza said of the defender. "Hopefully they will come out on Monday, then the healing process of that, however long that takes, it's in an awkward position.

"Yakou [Meite] is back training, he has trained with the squad, fully, he was injured with his thigh, but he is back training now and back in contention to be selected.

"Ollie [Tanner] has got a fracture in the foot, he has been in a boot. He has been in that since he got injured, decisions about whether he will come out of the boot are going to take place in the next few days and then he will start his rehab thereafter, so it will be a bit of time before Ollie is back."

Club Connections

Cody Drameh currently plays for Hull. He was obviously on loan with us during the 2021/22 season.

Rival Players

Kasey Palmer has played for both of our biggest rivals, Bristol City and Swansea.

The Opposition's Manager

Ruben Selles was appointed Hull manager in December.

After a short stint in charge of Southampton, he took over at Hull by leaving Reading.

He did an unbelievable job at Reading, having them in and around the League One top six despite major issues behind the scenes.

Opposition Dangerous Players

Louie Barry is yet to score in the league for Hull since joining on loan from Aston Villa in January, but he scored 15 goals for Stockport in League One in the first half of the season.

Matt Crooks is another January signing and an experienced player at this level.

Head To Head

We have an abysmal recent record against Hull, losing the last seven fixtures.

Our last win against them came back in 2020.

Team News - Predicted Line-Ups

Cardiff City: Horvath, Rinomhota, Fish, Ng, O'Dowda, Ralls, Mannsverk, Colwill, Alves, Ashford, Salech

Hull City: Pandur, Coyle, Hughes, Jones, McLoughlin, Crooks, Alzate, Matazo, Gelhardt, Barry, Joseph

Last Game

We drew 1-1 at Plymouth on Saturday.

On the same day, Hull won 1-0 at Sunderland.

Match Odds

Cardiff City - 8/5
Hull City - 7/4
Draw - 23/10

Aston Villa starlet Louie Barry has suffered a worrying injury four games into his Championship loan spell with Hull City.

Barry had to be replaced before half-time in Hull's 1-0 win over promotion hopefuls Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday due to a knee injury.

The 21-year-old attempted to run off the injury but left the action four minutes before the break, aided by Hull's medical staff and was visibly upset when he headed down the tunnel.

"It didn't look as bad as we expected during the first minutes, so I still need to wait for some confirmation from the doctor, and we need to make some tests," Hull manager Ruben Selles told Hull Live.

"Let's see when we arrive back home because it's a little bit too early to say. He was OK right now when I saw him before I came to the press conference. It looks like he thinks it's less than he expected, so let's see."

Cardiff City have lost each of their last seven league games against Hull City since a 3-0 win in July 2020. Over that stint, the Bluebirds have conceded 17 goals in total.

Hull City have won each of their last three away league games against Cardiff City, and will be looking to win four in succession for the first time in the EFL.

Cardiff are unbeaten in their last five home league games (W2 D3); the Bluebirds had lost four in a row at home in the Championship before this.

Hull have lost each of their last four midweek (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) league games, last losing more in succession from March 2013 to May 2014 (run of 10).

Because of suspension and injuries finding it hard to see
anything but a Hull win, Riza will set us up not too lose but
I can see a QPR game at the CCS all over again tonight, sorry to be
negative.

Lot of chatter going about today saying horvath broke his finger in the warm up Saturday, hopefully un true as would leave us real thin on the ground for keepers

Cardiff attack there through Willock, who tries to slip a ball in behind for Robinson, but they are on completely different wavelengths and the Irishman is running in the complete opposite direction.

That was frustrating, Robinson pointed where he wanted the ball & Willock tried to put it there but Robinson had already run in the opposite direction.

A series of very good crosses put into the box there, but defended well by Hull. Cardiff's attack looks bright, Willock picking up some nice pockets

Matazo looking bright for the visitors, too. Zips a ball through Fish's legs and the defender brings him down for a foui

Another injury break. Matazo down now after a challenge from Mannsverk - just failed to ignite, this one, so far.

Not a bad turnout for a run down from Hull
