Tonight's referee

Thomas Kirk will take charge of Cardiff City v Hull City on Tuesday night.

It will be his first match involving Cardiff while he has been in charge of two Hull City games their 1-0 league defeat to Blackburn and their win at QPR in the Carabao Cup.

He has refereed 20 games this season with 10 of them being in League One, five in League Two, three in the Championship and two in the Carabao Cup.

Across those 20 games he has shown 94 yellow cards and two red cards. An average of 4.7 yellow cards per game.

Not a great deal of Championship level experience for what is a vital game in the division.

Did alright I'd say.

A bit whistle happy when he could have let the game run, but don't think he made any terrible decisions.

Kirk was in charge of our Cup game v Stoke .

To be fair, I thought he had a decent game, maybe a couple of questionable decisions but were never happy with refs anyway :lol:

Nobody will be as good as Sam Allison though.
