MY VIEW TONIGHT: FINALLY AFTER WHAT HAS SEEMED TO BE A LONG TIME COMING CARDIFF GET A WIN & A DESERVED WIN FOR THEIR 90 MINS OF BATTLING & GREAT DEFENDING

SIX CHANGES WERE MADE TONIGHT FROM CITY’S LAST MATCH:

A deserved win and a vital win.

This was so so important.

Very scrappy, but a Win is a win.

Let’s be honest once again not a great advert for Championship football the First-Half:
2nd half improved vastly.

Cian Ashford my man of the match.

Much much needed 3pts.

This is what the loyal fans deserved a Win.

FIRST-HALF: For long stages of the game, boring, frustrating, and Cardiff playing to deep.

After a stop start stop match through fouls and injuries, 18mins in Hull lost one of their best players Matazo through an injury.

No real urgency from Cardiff and both sides looked content to be going in at 0-0

Hardly any good work in either sides box’s or for the goalies to do anything.

Finally in stoppage time,Salech shot and it was easily saved.

SECOND-HALF:

53rd min: Yes Robinson ,12th goal of the season, yet still gets criticised
Robinson Strike 1-0 beautiful.

60th min: Triple sub for Hull.
Slater off, Alzate on.
Joseph off, Pedro on.
Lincoln off, Kamara on.

62nd min: Cardiff subs
Willock off for Isaak Davies.
Robinson off for Robertson.

72nd min:Amrabat on for the injured McLoughlin.

Hull created two good chances.

77th min: El Ghazi on for Salech.
Bagan on for Chambers.

Hull created some good chances and had Cardiff on the back foot.

85th Min Rubin Colwill replaced Cian Ashford.

NG got in the way of a sure equaliser.

CARDIFF CITY 0 HULL CITY 1

H-T 0-0

Cardiff City: Horvath; Ng, Chambers, Fish, O'Dowda; Rinomhota, Mannsverk; Ashford, Robinson, Willock; Salech.

Subs: Turner, Lawlor, Giles, Bagan, Robertson, Colwill, El Ghazi, Meite, Davies.

Its rhe result that matters. An ugly game, but 3 points.
But its right that Robbo getscriticised. In all honsty his only worthwhile contribution. A shot that took a wicked deflection. But good luck to him. A goal is a goal.
Well done Cian Asford :occasion5:
Come on City :bluebird: :bluebird:

Facts don't lie 50mins with 10 men and 3 massive points tonight.

I still back up my previous post.... this team needs to finish above Oxford, Portsmouth, the Jack's and land in that group with Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall etc.

It's an ideal opportunity to take momentum into next season and not get dragged back in.

6 points is nothing!! Enjoy the cup game and then the next 4 games are crucial!!

Yes credit to Riza.

Not an exciting game but he set us up well as you say. The defence looked compact and organised. Good subs at the right times.

Showed great resilience against a team with a fine recent away record.

Great clean sheet by a makeshift defence..

Fish was excellent.

Well done to all concerned.

Buzzing tonight, we just gotta kick on from here now,
some great MOM performances tonight, Fish was superb also NG,
Ashford had some brilliant runs, we did sit a bit too deep at times inviting Hull on to us
but we bagged the all important 3 pts, well done everyone for that battling performance, onwards and upwards.

A lot of worried faces around the stadium tonight ! Both sides were poor in the first half but it livened up after the goal from Robinson and the faces in the crowd changed a bit . After the goal and substitutions we sat in and left Hull attack us time after time.I personally would have liked us to go and get another goal as we were on the front foot then. A very nervous ending with those worried faces back but....... we held out and we got the massive 3 points. Well done City. :bluescarf: :bluebird:
