Problem is other teams have better depth in their squad than we do.
That's not Riza's fault, it's down to the owner.

It is progressive using and blooding the younger players, for a long time there was little coming through finally we are starting to see progress and it looks as if it will be a great source of talent going forward. The squad looks strong enough to accommodate injuries/suspensions. Especially with some nice talent in the u21’s as extra back up

Riza, Said he was “very happy, he got the players he wanted and Mr Tan fully backed him”
RIZA’S WORDS
Also Riza was the assistant back in July / August and everyone was happy.
This squad in a very very poor league is worth 8th position.
Injuries with all clubs even out over a season, I hate excuses.

We have more like a bottom eight squad.
He got the players he needed to keep us up, and he will keep us up.
He's right to prioritise Burnley over Villa and if we can draw with Burnley it'll be a brilliant result - doesn't matter what happens tomorrow night as it's a luxury extra game.
Fact is Riza has us outside the bottom three when we were in it when he took over, he's made our team make great progress.

Put your best available team out at every ‘ opportunity’ every professional set up aspires to thisanything less is fraudulent and unfair to spectators who are struggling in a cost of living crisis

I personally want more for my devotion to my club not just celebrating year after year escaping relegation that just incredibly stupid, tiresome and wasteful. Too much negativity around. For all league games, I agree.
Not for cup games when we're in a relegation battle. That's just plain stupid.
