Arguably the biggest game of our season.

Could make or break it.

We are good enough and I think we will beat them.

Huge game, Luton are the team I think could catch us, assuming we both lose Saturday then a win or a loss Tuesday would be the difference between an 8 point gap or a 2 point gap which at this stage of the season is massive we really need us fans to turn up in numbers and help push the lads over the line

I went to buy a ticket in the corner between grange and ninian. £30 each, so £60.for me and the wife.No way am I paying that for dire football on tues night when its on red button for free and I have bills going up and food prices rising left right and centre. Make it BOGOF for Luton and maybe it would draw the big crowd we need. Even 20 a ticket would draw more in.

Apparently some say we are doing really well and are happy how we are currently playing.

The crowd was really poor on Tuesday, I didn't expect a big crowd but thought there would be more than there were.

Riza and the team deserved a bigger crowd.

Hope there's a better crowd for Luton, huge game.

Monty,

Attendances in the Championship have been going up every season on average, yet ours are falling even with increased away followings come here.

This season even less at our Stadium and away, yet a few are saying we are doing well etc etc unbelievable, The empty Crowds say it all.

The Fans are saying we’ve had enough of shit football and dire results.
A Team that goes out to draw and defend.

BUT YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU NEXT TUESDAY NIGHT:

11 of the 18 clubs that competed in last season's Championship have lower average attendances this season.

The average across the league last season was 22,893. This season is 21,837

Ours have been falling year after year including this year.
Away support has increased coming to us.

Last season saw the highest overall attendance at Championship matches since records began more than 130 years ago. More than 12 million people purchased tickets to second-tier games in 2023-24 - an increase of 22% on the previous season, the English Football League said.

Lets have a look on the other side of the coin here, I have never been a season ticket holder because theirs no point in me getting one because of the shifts I work meaning I would have to miss the majority of games available to me.
It would cost me now in this day and age an easy £40 or more with travel costs ie:- ticket price, petrol, parking, and a cup of coffee etc
Why should I pay the extra money when I can watch the game on Sky sports + for £26 pm, thats a big saving for me when every penny counts.

Our attendances have increased for the past 3 seasons, this is the first season since 2020 that has seen a decrease from the previous year. That decrease being in our first season after being relegated from the Championship.

22/23 had 6 stadiums with capacities bigger than 30,000 and 11 stadiums with capacities smaller than 25,000.
In 23/24 there were 10 stadiums with 30,000+ seats and only 8 less than 25,000.

The average stadium size was much larger last season compared to the previous.

I will give you facts, take away the away Supports coming here and it’s 100% gone down and Season Tickets are 12,300 lowest for years and gone down every season in the last 5 years.

Although Luton is a vital game, it's Sunderland that's the immediate priority - we have to go all out up there to get at least a point - we're capable of doing that.

The only issue is how Riza sets the team up and the starting 11. We can't defend that well and that's been proven over the season. We must have a go otherwise why turn up. I'm sick of seeing us start matches on the back foot game after game and that's down to Riza and his pointless defensive tactics.

We must be brave in every match, home and away, so we can look to move up the table and away from danger.

Riza needs to start with 2 strikers as we need goals and instruct us to get crosses into Salech as he's a right handful.

IMO it was points dropped against Burnley as we showed them far too much respect first half. Attack best form of defence, it ain't rocket science.
