Next season's Championship

Thu Mar 06, 2025 1:09 pm

If we stay up, who do you want to see in the Championship next season?

In the Premier League, it looks like Southampton are coming down. Two of Ipswich, Leicester and Wolves will join them - with Wolves five points clear of the bottom three with 11 games to go.

Birmingham look certain to return to the Championship from League One.

It's likely to be either Wycombe or Wrexham that join them in the top two.

Stockport, Charlton, Huddersfield, Bolton, Reading and Leyton Orient are amongst the teams competing for the play-off places.

Birmingham, Wrexham, Charlton would be my choice coming up
Soton, Leicester and Wolves the other way.

Teams coming up will be better than the ones last year. Will have more investment if Birmingham and Wrexham make it.

I do think this year the championship is as poor as I have seen it. Can't think of many teams who I've seen at home where you would say they are quality. Only Leeds imo.

People said exactly the same last year and are now saying it's a weak league, they'll say that again in 12 months time.

The league is always about as weak or as strong as it was the season before.

Well Birmingham are pretty much up, and I think Wrexham will pip Wycombe to the post, but I’d like to see Stockport go up.

Southampton basically down, and I’d like to see Wolves and Leicester join them.

You may have a point because how we finished 12th with the super negative football we played is incredible.

If Leicester stays up we have a good chance of keeping Alves.

i dont think anyone near the top in the playoff postions right now are guarenteed teams in relegation it can change so quickly a couple of wins a couple of defeats and can go either way it will go right to the wire in alot of the leagues thats for sure
