"Really"

According to you every week there are no issues for us under the leadership of riza why should we worry we will be safe under his leadership.

I've said I'm confident we'll stay up and I still am.

Doesn't mean I'm going to take it as given though.

If I have an opinion on whether we'll win, lose or draw a match it doesn't mean I won't watch the match.

I get you're making a sarcastic point so I'll throw the same right back at you - you have said Riza will take us down so why do you bother following the games if that's what you think?

We are at the business end of the season - the key is to Win 3 of these home games and pick up a few draws :bluebird:

I have never said he will take us down ,
but there is more likelyhood of that happening than winning promotion as you have suggested under riza we have spent virtually the whole season in the bottom 5 that tells me he cannot pull away like QPR .

Re: The next week is huge

If Riza is doing such a great job, after being in charge since September, why are we even considering that we are in a relegation battle or considering we could go considering apparently he’s doing such a great job.

And Riza fans go in to games saying we will probably lose the next one etc

Tend to side with you here Monty.

I'm hearing this squad is good enough for mid table so why are we still in a relegation battle?

Few big games there that can affect us.

That being said it is in our own hands.

Win against Luton and we will be in a favourable position to stay up.

Because whoever is defence coach needs sacking Because they're failing to get whatever message it is over to the players....take Tues if we didn't make same mistakes as in most other games we could of got result and that could be said of many games we've lost or drawn?.. ..People say have slow start that's true but it's not that which is costing us its defensively the problem! Sort that out and top 6 more realistic than relegation..

We have a few good players but this isn't a strong squad.

At best it's bottom half, but closer to bottom eight.

In the table since Riza took charge, we are 17th so about in the right place.

Luton is the team I think we're battling with for the third relegation slot, if we both lose Saturday its so important we don't lose to them Tuesday to keep the gap at 5 but if we can win and push the gap to 8 maybe I'll start to believe

Re: The next week is huge

Makes no difference what those around us do. It is all in our own hands, I like Riza and think he is doing his best but I can't for the life of me work out why we wait until the last 25 minutes and start having a go at times, normally after we have gone behind. In my opinion this is one of the unfittest City teams I have witnessed for a while apart from Rhino.

If he keeps playing some of the starting tactics he does we are done for as other teams are better defending than us. We need to take advantage of Salech aerial ability starting Saturday. :bluebird:

I agree with 90% of that.

Sunderland are for the taking and NO more defending defending, We need to attack and have the players.

When we attacked Burnley we could have beaten them, But Riza defended for 35 mins and let them go in to a 2nil lead.

I expect us to stay and believe we will but I will not applaud Riza one bit for it as he’s been here far to long and has kept us down in the Relegation battle for over 6mths after taking charge after only 6 games which he was already here for.

If Riza had taken us to say 8th or even 10th I would be applauding him and saying keep him here.

I kind of agree, but when he took over, if the question was "would you take 4th from bottom by goal difference right now", I guess alot of us would have taken that. It was bleak. If he doesn't fly out of the blocks next season, he will be sacked. That's how this division is. Groundhog day.

His job was to keep us up. If he does that, he should be applauded.

Under Riza we are 17th with a bottom eight squad, so about right.

I disagree this is a bottom 8 squad I think a decent manager would have this squad towards the top half of the table, we finished 12th last year and feel the squad this season is as good

No way is this a top half squad. We finished 12th last season by some miracle, but that also wasn't a top half squad.

Anyone who thinks this is a top half squad is living in cuckoo land.

It's bottom eight.

Would also point out Luton have a better squad than us but they're below us in the league.

It’s not as simple as ‘on paper we have a great squad’ (which we don’t, we are where we are because we have had a pretty shite squad until Christmas).

Injuries that we have, injuries that other teams have, cup runs, when games are scheduled, confidence, ref decisions, suspensions. The list goes on.

Re: The next week is huge

It's all in our own hands .
Question is does the club really want to stay in the league.
Wins is what we need.
It's as simple as that .The manager has to get wins on the board. He hinted in his press conference the he wants to attack more but others convince him to hold back .
I'd say to our manager don't listen to others it's your team your incharge go play how you want .
Side to side and backwards ain't going to win games .
It's up to the management to come up with a winning formula and keep us up .Do I have confidence in them no I don't but I'll support the team what else can we do .
We can bear Sunderland comes down to the players aswell do they want it enough. There's a lot of players there that have been around a while we go down who will want them .
There's a lot riding on us staying up let's hope he keeps us up
