Riza taking us down.

Sat Mar 08, 2025 3:38 pm

I never thought he should have had the job in the 1st place but his track record in the last 20 games is absolutely shocking.

Every game he changes his starting 11, changing the team to accommodate the opposition instead of them worrying about us. At home we play like the away team letting them have the ball.

The midfield is so weak and teams just walk through us then we give away stupid goals with silly mistakes at the back.

It's too late to sack him now as whoever we bring in still has to work with the same players, but there's no way he gets a contract for next season.

Anyone who thinks we will bounce straight back up! Take a look at the teams in league 1 it's alot harder than you think and I don't think the squad is good enough.

Calm down last two games against good opposition, yes lost both games 2-1 but could/should have done better.
No excuses Tuesday night.

Agree but Tues is a 6 pointer but not in true sense we normally use.... a win will put us minimum one place higher and points wise could be 3 game advantage from bottom 3 lose and stay fighting hard for safety with the others.

Dazza I agree with you mate

I've said for weeks he's taking us down but get jumped on for having my opinion, riza just doesn't have the tactical nous to pull off the results needed to keep us up

Really don't understand why people are so sure we'll go down.

The facts are that we were six points clear of the bottom three before these last two games.

We lost both of them and the gap is four points.

The teams below us aren't winning so it's way too soon to say that we're going down.

Still believe we'll stay up.

Plymouth, Luton are doomed Derby have the manager to get them out of trouble we don't. We will be joining them in league 1.

How about Stoke, or Oxford?
Both plummeting with ‘good’ managers.

Derby won for the first time in 13 matches today. The new manager has been there for several of those.

They lost ten of the previous twelve.

We are in better form than them.

Look on the bright side with 10 games to go we could still mathematically reach the play offs, just trying to cheer everyone up.

If you say so.

Above bottom 3, last two against teams in the top 4.

What a load of drivel.

Another game another negative thread from you.

Re: Riza taking us down.

Sat Mar 08, 2025 7:40 pm

Tuesday is crucial, we’ve made promotion chasing teams look average the last 2 games, unlucky not to get anything from either of them, however if we don’t follow these two up with a win then we will be in trouble.

The only positive to take from that scenario is if the bottom 4 don’t pick up any points in the remaining 10, we don’t even need to draw a game

By "jumped on" you're being overly dramatic when what you actually mean is someone disagreed with you? Because you are by far in the majority here with your view. The onlu ones getting jumped on are Worcester & maybe Roath_Blue because they're in the minority.

fair enough but being told I'd enjoy seeing us relegated because my view is different to there's annoys a bit as I don't think any cardiff fan is enjoying the slide we are on at the moment

Oxford got too much spirit I think. Cardiff looked good today I thought.

Yes I would be surprised if they go down with the gap they have made.

It's just the way you vome across with your comments rightly or wrongly that's how it comes across? and I'm one that thinks that but your not jumped on but get seen as happy at the situation... and there are people on here openly saying relegation would be good thing to reset things....and to gloat they were right when we lose a game just like swans fans do.....

I promise you I'm far from happy with our situation, I could never take joy in watching us lose, it costs a small fortune for me and my two boys to follow us all over the country every week but we all do it because we love cardiff city, I honestly hope I'm wrong and riza does keep us up and I'll be the first to hold my hands up and say I was wrong

The problem we have is because we are sh#t away, it means that every home game is a "must win".

Watched the play off semi final on sky this morning against Leicester we used to be a proud club,we’re a pile of shit now tan was meant to come in and take us to the next level but if anything he’s made it worse often wonder if we beat Blackpool what would have been

Riza is out of his depth , this squad is decent and a good championship manager would get us much higher up tne league .I really hope if we stay up next sesson we got a bit more ambition and get a decent management team in

Re: Riza taking us down.

Of the bottom clubs...

Derby still have Luton, Plymouth and Stoke to play....all winable. The potential to pick up the odd point here and there too, on the back of yesterday's win will keep their confidence high..

Plymouth only have Derby from the bottom three. Of which I expect Derby to win.

Luton have Us, Hull, Stoke, Derby.

Going by that above, I can see Derby flip-flopping places with us.. Sadly. :? :?

The only thing I'm confident in is that is not going to happen if we do stay up.

If we do stay up but fail to make any progress then expect a sale of our best players like Salech and Robertson. That's where I think we are going.

Re: Riza taking us down.

Cov were 17th then. They are 5th.
Pompey were 24th then. They are 17th now.
QPR were 23rd then. They are 14th.
We were 21st then.

Re: Riza taking us down.

Sun Mar 09, 2025 2:28 pm

So we lose 7-0 to Leeds and they’ve not beat anyone else No where near that, yet all
I heard on here is what do I expect it was Leeds etc etc

Well Cardiff have lost to all the Top 4 teams home away , Sheffield United still to come.

Well well well Pompey who were bottom not long ago beat Leeds 1-0 today and are marching up the Table.

All we see on here from Riza fans is if, if, but , if only .

Just be Honest Riza has to go come May.

Re: Riza taking us down.

Sun Mar 09, 2025 6:01 pm

Think its a 50/50 chance at the moment
His constant changing the team is ridiculous just to keep his squad happy
Play your best team and keep playing them or going down.

And

Re: Riza taking us down.

Sun Mar 09, 2025 8:16 pm

I also fear he will take us down due to inexperience too, and i also fear next season if we do manage to stay in the championship, next season will just be a wasted season under riza due to his inexperience and no proof hes cut out to be a top manager. Our club deserves so much better.

Re: Riza taking us down.

Sun Mar 09, 2025 8:23 pm

If they sack Riza this week and Purse takes over, which leads to us getting relegated then you all deserve what you get.

Like it or not, our best realistic chance of staying up is with Riza.
