Before anyone says anything, my opinion is unchanged. I wouldn't sack Riza and I would keep him for next season - as long as we stay up.
He is still learning and obviously made mistakes today. I do still think with an extra coach and similar signings to the ones in January, he can take us forward next season.
But I also worry that any replacement would actually be worse.
If they were going to bring in an experienced manager then they would have done it already. The fact they haven't should tell everyone that any replacement would just be a cheap option again.
But what's your opinion? Others clearly have a very different view to me.
Should he go now? Go at the end of the season? Stay?
Sat Mar 08, 2025 7:31 pm
Keep him,he’ll You get better
Sat Mar 08, 2025 7:35 pm
If we lose to LUTON
YES NOW
Sat Mar 08, 2025 7:35 pm
If not DEF MAY
Sat Mar 08, 2025 7:45 pm
He is doing his best, not his fault as he has not got a club, he is doing his best though and he will win soon keep the faith and we will stay up. Then next season over 46 games we will go down under him.
Sat Mar 08, 2025 7:52 pm
1 win out last 7 league games
4 wins out of 23 games
We have already let in more goals this season than when we stayed up with the reading points reduction
Sat Mar 08, 2025 8:00 pm
not voting because he will be with us next season regardless what happens.
Sat Mar 08, 2025 8:04 pm
Replace him with another like for like cheap option ?!
TAN OUT
Sat Mar 08, 2025 8:07 pm
I don't think he will keep us up so I'd role the dice and pray tan realises what a shit state we are in and brings in an experienced manager for the last 10 games,
Sat Mar 08, 2025 8:08 pm
I think it's all about Tuesday for RIZA a must win game or else!!
Sat Mar 08, 2025 8:24 pm
He’s gota go end of season , and all the back room too and I’ve noticed since purse has been involved it seems to be even worse decisions in subs and tactics ,
We need fresh clean out for next season but on a bigger point we need new owners
If the owner stays then we need a very experienced manager next season if tan wants us in premier leaugue , otherwise it’s just gona continue watching shit
Sat Mar 08, 2025 8:30 pm
I'm still firmly Riza IN til the end of the season.
We need to pick up 3 wins out of the next 10. Starting with Luton.
We 100% won't succeed with Riza next season but I believe sacking him now would send us down.
Sat Mar 08, 2025 8:37 pm
Not a lot of time for a new manager to work with the players but I'd sack him now .The results and tactics are dreadful
Sat Mar 08, 2025 8:59 pm
Way to negative to keep us up.
It's a cheerio from me

Think some need to stop panicking. We’re not in the relegation zone as it stands we were before. The club is so unstable at the moment it’s trickling down to us fans we seem to not know what we want. If the team play bad it’s alll Riza fault but when they play better it’s the players doing it for themselves. We making ourselves look as incompetent as the owners. If we get relegated which I don’t think we will it could be a great reset. Two premier league champions have got relegated to league 1 relatively recently and came back to be champions. It’s not all doom and gloom a season of remembering how to win and breed some confidence could be just the tonic we need. And maybe encourage our owner to sell up.
Who know.
Sat Mar 08, 2025 9:46 pm
Definitely end of season,he is clueless.
Sat Mar 08, 2025 10:30 pm
It all depends on Tuesday's game for RIZA win or else
Sat Mar 08, 2025 11:28 pm
I didn't want him in first place and he's proving me right how I felt I watched the Luton away game and he played just like bullet trying to play out from the back tried defensive not to lose the game i dont remember one shot on target in that game we lost 1 nil and should of been by much more if we lose Tuesday sack the lot on the spot no pressure then!!

The guy is totally out of his depth. Not his fault? No. Going to get better? No. Totally lost the plot? Yes. Riza is simply, and obviously not good enough as a manager at this level, and I believe that he will get us relegated,,, but if VT was to sack him now, we all know who would replace him.
Get ready for seven or eight thousand average attendance next season!

Vinny has watched Rocky far too many times. The idea that you can pick someone from a feeling with absolutely no form in the book is just plain crazy!
Riza is obviously well versed in football, it's all he has done, and unlike us, he has been paid for it. However, whether he has the leadership skills to lead a club is unknown. Normally in a sane club, the leader has demonstrated it at other clubs. Nearly every person in most jobs gets better, that's par for life, so learning on the job is bollox to me.
Its plain to me he as a fan, he is technically knowledgeable, but we have over egged 22 boys kicking a ball around a park for 90 mins and try to turn it into nuclear science with loads of modern management speak.
He is in a leadership role and he is way off.
I am not into sacking mid-season, three managers would just show how bad the club is run, but if we lose on Tuesday it may be the right call.

IMO, if we get relegated, we’ll be in free fall. Tan will sell players with a value to recoup as much as he can.
We need to survive in the Championship.

I agree with your first part about us fans but can't agree with your League 1 comment.
Tan can't afford to get relegated and if we do he certainly won't sell, he won't get a fraction of the price he wants. If we go down Tan will be here until we get promoted, which could be years.
We 100% need to stay up to get him to sell.

Agree 100% I really do fear for our club if we do get relegated, Tan will certainly try to get some of his money back by selling our players thats worth a bit of money and doing that we will struggle in League1.
I just hope and prey we stay up and Tan cuts his losses and sells up in the summer and brings in a consortium who brings with them ambition.
But I can see Tan panicking on Wednesday morning if we lose to Luton tuesday night.
A win is a must against Luton.

I want him gone now , but the real question is would we trust the board to get someone with experience coming in ? No chance.
So on that basis I think sticking with him until the end of the season is probably best option. If we do stay up I just hope the board don’t reward him with a contract but I feel they will

I am not backing Riza here, but Riza needs to tell Purse and Shaw to shut the hell up and I will be the one to organise the players, I was sat behind not far from the home dug out and on many occasions Riza was ordering certain players to do this and that whilst at the same time Purse and Shaw were ordering them to do something else, you can see why the players get so confused to what they ate supposed to do.
Unity from the dugout would be a good idea to start with.

Who will we get then, Purse or Shaw probably, and that would be worse. More YES men.
Just going from one cheap Yes man to the next and nothing will change until TAN has gone.

100% agree with you, Tan is the problem and nothing will change until this regime as gone.

Totally agree with you Mike. Shirt of getting an exceptional proven manager in (which we won’t because they didn’t come last time for various reasons) we need to stick with what we have.
