Riza v Malky records

Sun Mar 09, 2025 12:52 pm

Interesting to see that so many want Riza gone. As Worcester points out we aren’t in the relegation zone and haven’t been for a while with Riza in charge. His record lately isn’t great but some of the same people also bemoan that Malky was sacked saying his team were never in the relegation zone.

Malky’s last 12 games as Cardiff manager got us 9 points which is not a good record yet he was supported and Riza is slated. Riza’s last 12 games have got us 14 points.

Just worth pointing out and asking why?

What league was Malky in at the time were we near bottom of the championship ?

I think people are a lot more tolerant when your scrapping for survival in the Premier league compared to the championship, the quality of opposition is a lot higher so expectations are not as great

Re: Riza v Malky records

Point being made people on here bemoan fact that Riza’s results are bad ect but we have not been in bottom three for ages ...... yet when people said precisely same thing about malky it was highlighted we wasn't in bottom three with him? Doesn't matter in premier league because he had the money to make the sighnings something Riza’s been limited with.. in reality both in same situation we shouldn't be near bottom now and we shouldn't have been with malky.... but its all about perspective..

different level to the championship, Malky was up against some of the best teams in the UK maybe the world, that's just a silly comparison, if we were in the prem playing like this under riza we would be rock bottom

I didn’t once say championship. It is unsaid that we were premier. I’m talking about relegation battle and results.

It’s relative and people’s reactions to results.

Bottom of top league and this league is totally different you cannot compare Malky v Riza , you didn’t say championship but that’s what league we are in so you didn’t need to . Malky was premier league .

it's a silly comparison and you are clutching at straws

kompany only managed 11 points from his last 12 games with Burnley and the York city manager has 19 from his last 12 conference games, shall we tell Bayern Munich they got the wrong manager?

Malky is a vile human being who can’t get a job now because he is both an embarrassment and a very poor manager.

Riza all day long.

No need for that comment was there?

Saying he’s ‘one of the biggest idiots of all time’ because you don’t agree with his view.

People like you are why people don’t post.

Not even a close comparison.

It’s about reactions not the results or level.

with all due respect your comparison isn't close either, your comparing two managers from different decades in football,if the stats you gave on malky were from last season in the championship you would have a point, like you said malky never got us in the relegation zone in the prem, but riza has had so many opportunities to pull us away from the relegation battle and he has cost us so many valuable points by hooking attacking players too early and sitting too deep and it has cost us dearly, we probably will just survive this season but if we have riza next season we will be here again

I am comparing the reactions of Cardiff fans to the incumbent manager so I think it’s relevant. Entitled to your opinion obviously.

Well yes you are entitled to your opinion also, so we will have to agree to disagree

Re: Riza v Malky records

The difference (I assume, as I'm somewhere in the middle for Riza) vs. someone like Malky is his lack of previous accolades and respect.

He can only change that by keeping us up, then putting us in the top6. Anything less then he'll simply lose his job or not win over some fans.

That’s a very good point well made.

I always viewed it that with the money Malky had, we should have been far better set for the premier league. Had DJ been given those funds that Malky got he could have put something really good together.

You are clearly just trying to cause problems with this post.

You know full well why posts have been deleted because I sent you a PM.

You sent a report about name calling being used against us. That report wasn't followed up so you made a further complaint. I made the decision to delete two posts relating to the initial complaint.

So please don't make out posts are being randomly deleted, which is how it sounds from your post here.

Name calling to other users is not allowed on here, whoever it is to.

Over the last week I have been called mad, a drunk, insane etc so count yourself lucky. However, I did take the action you asked for so saying "posts have been deleted" like there's some sort of dictatorship happening on here is wrong and unfair.

Fooking hell Sven, the others are right. You have become a bit of a knob.

Used to be a right good guy as well.

I think you need a break from the mb. It will do you good.

For the record, how am I being awkward by putting a post pointing out disparity in the treatment of my club’s current manager. The awkward ones are those that seem to revel in Cardiff losing and pipe up when they do to have a go at anything to do with the club.
