MY LUTON ASSESSMENT :


I warn that we as fans should not take the Luton game lightly and think that they are the “whipping boys” and that we are going to beat them easy.


Luton are definitely a match for us . I put the odds at 55%_45% in our favor.


Yes we have improved dramatically this last January transfer window with the addition of Salech , Mannsverk and Alves …… but Luton are no mugs ….when compared to us .


Up front we are now a force to be reckoned with (for the first time in years) …..now that we have Salech and Robinson producing the goods . But , Luton have Adebayo , Morris , Brown and Nordes …..all who know where the goal is .


Wide players we have a variety of good enough players - including Alves , Turner , El Ghazi , O’Dowda , Ashford ….but Luton have Aasgaard , Nelson or Nordes all who can hurt us and are young , able and hungry.


In center of midfield we are better .


In defense they are missing two C1/2s ….their captain Lockyer and now Naismith who was sent off last Saturday ……but they have our ex - McGuinness and Anderson who are good enough .



We are better at full backs …..but then they may very play with wingbacks .


Goalkeepers ….I can’t tell . A hell of a lot is going to depend on the managers …far more than other games . The team selection , strategy and tactics …..as well as who the subs are and when to introduce and who.



My conclusion is that this is going to be a tense game …..and that we will get all 3 points .

Obviously not sure who’s Fit but I’d start with this.

Think I'd start Ramsey in midfield with either chambers or mannsverk next to him this is the kind of game Ramsey can get on the ball and dictate play then Alves Ashford and colwill behind salech, we need to take this game to Luton for 90 minutes and if we do I think we win this 2-1

Don’t think anyone expects us to win easily..we all know it’s going to be tough !!

My feeling is both teams have to win this one but if he sets us up right and manages the subs correctly and game management we should have enough to win .
Players have to step up and be accountable aswell.

They call it a six pointer but its more than that it could be season defining if results go our way on tues/wed ... one look at table shows you how close it is for bottom 7 clubs...... anything but a win is just a set back a win which won't be easy as Annis says could be massive in context of relegation places.... city 2-1

Ramsey will start imo

Luton will pose a threat from set pieces riza cannot afford to lose or draw this match think it will define our season question is. is riza up to the challenge I have no confidence in him to set us up hoping he doesn't start defensive at home like he has

If he sets up negative again at home he should get a P45 on Wed morning.

Bloomfield has struggled since going there and what worked with Wycombe isn't working with Luton.

Take the shackles off and let the youngsters play their game with Ramsey spraying the ball around.

Defensive mistakes will cost us again imo. Although I hope we batter them.
