It should have been schumacher time last time we were without a manager, and he should be brought in now to save us from going down and to build for the future. And if we go down and he dont get bolton up this season then we should go for him then too to try and get us back up.
He would have been my first choice before we hired riza. He is flying with bolton in league 1,lot of experience as a manager, proven promotions, championship experience, nothing our current rookie riza got who i fear will take us down now because he got no previous experience or know how how to get us out of this mess.

Why would he leave Bolton?

He was my first choice - but it's not happening.
They had the chance to bring in an experienced manager at the back end of next year. They didn't do it.
They wouldn't do it then so they're not going to do it now or in the summer.
Those calling for Riza to go, and I know you're not one of them, are living in some cuckoo land where they believe we'll bring in a top manager. Not happening.
I still back Riza because I do believe he can take us forward with the right summer signings but also because the replacement would be worse - whoever it is, it won't be a manager with experience.

How many experienced managers are there in bottom 7? Because They all can't be inexperienced and they're not doing their clubs any more good than riza.

He was never a great appointment and time as proved that... but the OP point is we should get in an experienced coach now! But
That hasn't worked for clubs who have Been near bottom all season
So why would it work at city? Yes got good squad but all managers have ways of playing so would the squad adapt to new coach quickly enough to get out of trouble that's the 64k dollar question?

Some managers have an immediate impact. Warnock always did as he was a really good man manager. Rowett has done the same at Oxford. Some take a bit more time to impact.

Lets be honest, is Schumacher had the job and we were in the same position we'd get the same comments, Hes only hired as he is a yes man, he was a cheap option etc.

Look I hate Tan & his cronies as much as the next man but isn't every manager at every club ultimately a "yes man" as they can all be fired at the behest of the owner? All this "yes man" bs being used as an insult is just that, bs. Even Warnock was a "yes man" because if he wanted to spend on a player he didn't just get to spend whatever he wanted & had to go to Tan & explain why he wanted a particular player.

I agree with you mate, Riza could be a safer bet keeping us up, but its still a gamble keeping him to try do it, and for me when they hired him it was a big gamble then, but just cheaper easier option from the owners which shows no ambition. If i was betting, i would bet on an experienced manager to come in now and keep us up before betting on riza who is inexperienced.

That's my point, just not as well written as what you said, regardless of whom we hire. We would get the same comments on this forum saying he's yes man, a cheap option etc. It doesn't matter who's hired we'd get the same comments.
