Just been on one of their forums and their fans have given up. Hope their team has,they don't think they'll get anything tonight and would be happy with a draw.

He's a good old fashioned 'stopper' but pretty much all teams in the top two divisions require their CBs to play a bit as well as defend and thats where he comes unstuck imo.

It goes to show how dire they are playing.

We should be winning tonight.

I've never understood why people talk about McGuinness as if he's this top class defender.

He has potential and is still relatively young, but a CB for a mid to lower Championship team is about where he is - nothing more.

There was a post on another thread that said he'll be Salech's biggest test so far which I completely disagree with. He did well against the Burnley CBs, who are a great deal better than McGuinness.

When he was with us, he put in some great performances but he was also at fault for a fair amount of goals and would rarely get through a game without making at least one mistake.

So he's a decent player at this level, but not in the way some make out.
