some sources are saying Aston Villa are monitoring Cardiff youngster Troy Perret, that will be another promising youngster going for peanuts, I know most clubs lose young players to bigger clubs but they always seem to make millions from them, surely our club need to give this serious thought

The thing is, it's not something that is done quickly.

To be Cat 1, a lot of it is down to the amount of coaches and it isn't instant. It takes a while before the authorities give Cat 1 status, it can also be lost if things don't stay as they are.

Can still lose youngsters even with cat 1 status.... at moment we seem to be getting in good quality youngsters because of the facilities we are offering .... top talent will go regardless as teams like villa man c offer things city can't financially. Long term
