I do wonder if we had Derby's crowds whether we'd be higher in the table. This assumes more bums on seats = better atmosphere and translates to better performances - but then you look at Man Utd and that argument falls down a little.

3 or 4 seasons of largely mediocre, dire football and scraping the bargain basement for players and managers has taken its toll on the support base.

There's no buzz or excitement on a regular basis at the CCS and I think that reflects in the general indifference and silence coming from Tan and the 2 car salesmen.

I think if we had loyalty and home support like Derby instead of an empty lifeless Stadium, We would be a lot higher.

Our stadium suits away clubs when they come to it.

Derby and Pompey won automatic promotion last season, so they're running off last season's buzz.

That said, our general match day experience is crap compared to other clubs and always has been.

The only thing that seem's to get fans back is success on the pitch. Or playing the Jacks.

Derby’s away support and home support was amazing and sell outs when they were going down.
Plus the buzz going up only lasts a few months if your team is awful.

Pompey always stay loyal.
We use to be identical to them.

Well these fans are not having Success and have stayed loyal.

I agree their support is very good. They were averaging 23k in the season they went down, about 5k less than now. It's sad that we struggle to get anywhere near 20k these days. Need positivity back.
