According to Paul Abbandanato who will have been told this via Dalman who wants Riza gone.
Paul Abbandonato:
“I know nothing of @CardiffCityFC interest in Dick Advocaat. I do know of genuine names they have looked at, but Tan wants to stick with Omer. 9 wins in 32 games is not great, partic when I look at much lesser squads higher in table, but it’s VT’s call. We hv to rally round team“
“I'm just baffled someone who puts so much of his wealth into Cardiff City should consistently go cheap with the most important appointment of the lot. Trollope, Morison, Hudson were other examples“
“Cardiff are SO close, most exciting crop of young players I've known in ages, not just home-grown but also Robertson, Salech, Daaland etc. Yet they are also so far away at the same time. That's my worry. 4-5 quality signings & right manager this summer would be ace.”

We need to get a better manager in ASAP.
The championship will be a lot stronger next season.
Birmingham and Wrexham will spend when/if they come up.

This shouldn't be a surprise. Alright, I've stuck up for Riza a lot.
But the truth is Tan had chances to replace Riza and didn't - so I don't expect him to go before the end of the season.
If we stay up, he'll stay because him and Ramasut are cheap.
I'll support him but he also needs to be backed in the transfer market - we need more signings like we had in January because Mannsverk and Alves will go back to their clubs.

Ive said it in other posts, Riza is here next season, whether we like it or not, in Tan’s mind why fork out loads of money on a new manager when he has one that he now knows he can manipulate and that will bite his hand off for a further year.
The only glimmer of hope I have is that now he has sorted the attack out can he recruit and sort out the defence, if he does then mid table it is next season at best with him in charge.
Of our own players who will be here next season, Salech, Robinson, Ashford, O’dowda, Robertson, Turnball, Chambers (in midfield) are all class/good championship players, with some decent back up to that lot including, Tanner, Willock, Ralls and the Colwil brothers.
However in defence, Rhinimota/NG, Bagan, really not sure, both goalkeepers definitely not a stand out one, Dalland has the potential but needs to perform next season consistently, with Fish and the other young guy (Lawson i think) who I rate highly, so imo we need new starters for goalkeeper, and both right and left back, have the others i mentioned as back up and maybe another central defender to replace goutas or have cover at least, lastly a defensive coach to get them right.

If that is the case, Tan is taking a monumental gamble with his own money on the hope that we somehow avoid relegation.
If we go down, I can see us sinking like a stone - low crowds, inability to attract quality players etc etc. In that eventuality is Tan going to keep his rookie Yes man who got us relegated!?
#Tan out

If Tans wants cheap get Ramsey as a player manager, best of both worlds, BUT...I would love it if Steve Cooper or Nathan Jones comes in, Cardiff needs change now, fans are not going to buy season tickets if there is nothing happening with a change, simple..

Ramsey really isn’t the answer here.
Zero experience.

More money than sense must have money to burn, but not on a decent manager, should have got a replacement in after Luton but he obviously don’t mind going to League one , and then League two we won’t bounce straight back it will be another relegation battle in League one, way more owners that care in League one . Tan hates us fans with a passion and wouldn’t surprise me if he’s behind Riza to get at us, because we didn’t bow down to Red and the protests etc.

Like been said so near yet so far! Got decent crop of youngsters coming through got several young players experienced and decent championship level.....need good defenders young or old in summer... the big problem is will riza do better with additional defenders Certainly need purse to go got feeling he's part of problem ? Not sure another coach is answer given some failings this season from so called experienced coaches going to clubs ...there is a decent coach in riza but can he improve that is the question?

No surprise there for sure.
Anyone that knows Tan will have guessed this.
We have to support him.

Well the article says 4 new signing over the summer break. Put aside a new manager for the moment. Riza has brought in an excellent striker is Salech plus Robertson. If he brought in similar players to fill the gaps we have then perhaps his management will benefit from it.

More protest i exspect.

That was my thought in my post?
Most are saying need experienced championship coach but ishmael is such one but he's failing at Blackburn who were near top6 before he took over 1 point in 7or8 games tells you experience doesn't always work... but riza as shown he can get results but at moment defence is letting us down and its not his tactics that are doing it its quality of defending by enlarge so as you say if his signings especially defenders match his other sighnings it may be what he needs?....

Some may think I'm being dramatic but I think Tan selling up will be one of the greatest days in this club's history. Better than any promotion. He's holding us back. We need positivity back at the club.
Wed Mar 19, 2025 5:38 pm
We don't want Tan or Riza to stay. Jog on!

well if true it wouldnt surprise me at all and i for one have to reveiw at end of season where i will be it will be 46 years since ive been a city fan this matters to me for lots of reasons a manager is who we trust to lead the team and have identity this manager doesnt i may come across as harsh i just love my football club but you can fall out of love just as quickly

I think most of us would agree with that.

Well no you don’t have to support him but I’m a long time Cardiff City supporter and I support the manager.
I was on all the anti-red marches but the one off protest of a few hundred outside the main reception will not make an iota of difference to Tan unfortunately.

Yes it would be huge and a joyful day for sure but only if we could get better!
And that’s the biggest thing of all.

I support the city but not riza and you could have joined the march to make up more numbers rather than just pointing a finger,
and who said it was a one off ,
you have to start somewhere joining together is better for all fans rather than saying to others whats the point splitting the fans unless you agree win tan remaining.

I also support the City but also the current manager. If he leaves then I’ll support the next manager just as I support the players as long as they give 100%.
I’m out of the country enjoying the beautiful Caribbean not worrying about a protest or two that’ll have zero effect but if you and others want to then I’ll respect that.
