Would you have an issue with a European manager of Wales?

Having a few drinks this afternoon/evening with friends due to the nice weather.

England fans still have an issue with Tuchel as their manager, because he's not English - and worst of all in their view, German.

My response to them is that he's probably better than any English manager with the possible exception of Eddie Howe. If he wins the World Cup, they won't care one bit.



But if things don't work with Bellers, and I think they will, would you have an issue with the FAW bringing in a manager from the continent?

Or does an international manager need to be from the home country?

I think we had this discussion before Bellers was announced & I said then I wouldn't really care who the manager was if he develops a winning team & a winning mentality. I stick by that.

I completely agree. Wouldn't happen, but if someone like Ancelotti decided to take the Wales job then I'd be delighted.

I know there's the whole German thing but I don't really understand why England fans have such an issue with Tuchel. The bloke has won a lot of titles, including the Champions League.

A manager doesn’t necessarily need to be the same nationality as the team they manage.

There are players that are born in another country and play for certain teams through grandparents etc. the Welsh team have a few.

We have had a non Welsh manager - Booby Gould - For Me let Bellars do his job ...Which he is doing well at present .

For international football, my wish would be to scrap the grandparents rule even though our glory team of 16 would have been hit hard. And for the manager and staff to be qualified also. Same rule for staff as players.

But as this will never happen, whilst I prefer a Welshman in charge, i cant help thinking what a non Welsh and better manager would have done with Robert Pages team. So no, I dont have an issue.
