Leichtenstein -v North Macedonia

Just been watching this match on Optus Sport 2 and saw a very industrious performance by North Macedonia.

Leichtenstein were not up to much, as many will appreciate, some of their players play in the Swiss 5th Division - but to get the points North Macedonia had to play what was in front of them.

In the past Wales have faced criticism for believing they only have to turn up to get the 3 points. North Macedonia didnt make this mistake. They clearly intended to win the game without conceding and treated their opponents with respect.

They are going to be tough on Tuesday

North Macedonia are a decent team and shouldn't be underestimated. Got some players who are experienced at international level.

They reached one of the Euros recently and were close to qualifying for the last World Cup.

Definitely a nation on the up when it comes to football.

I would still expect us to do well against them but they can't be written off.

I recall North Macedonia knocking out Italy who had just won the Euros a year before.

We have dropped some stupid points again these "lower" teams. I'll be happy with just a win be it easy or narrow against these teams.

Yes, most of them Ex Yougoslavian / Balkan countries have very good sportsmen and women.

I visited Croatia , Montenegro, Bosnia last year and got talking to a gentleman in Kotor about how many good tennis stars (male and female) are from the balkan areas and he informed me that the people from this area of the world are descendants of a particular tribe/race called HOTI and GRUDA

These peoples are Tall, Long Fingers, Athletic, wide stride.

As I sat and enjoyed a coffee, I observed that both men and women passing by had these features. very interesting
