The first team in England to be promoted / Robbie Savage

Macclesfield have become the first team in England to achieve promotion this season.

They won the Northern Premier League today and will play in the National League North (tier six) next season.

They are managed by ex-Wales international Robbie Savage, who was previously Director of Football at the club.

Perhaps a cautionary take for ex players wanting to be a manager? Start low aim high Robbie only took over training and involvement
As a favour but obviously has an aptitude for it...... hopefully it works out for him and he goes on to better things with them and he doesn't get persuaded by bigger clubs to leave.
