Not far now. What a season they have had. Promotion within touching distance. Delighted for them and their fans as they have always had a close association with the City. Well done Martyrs.

National League South. Big achievement to play there. Torquay United currently in that league which gives you an example of the size of club they could be playing.

I was a ball boy at Jenner Park in about 1967/8 ish. We were playing Stevenage. Since then their fortunes have changed a bit. Look where both clubs are now. I think they should have stayed in the English league system like Merthyr

I've tried the usual & nothing comes up about promotion for me but thanks for your very helpful suggestion, now do one and mind your own business. Nobody likes a smartarse & sometimes it's just better if you STFU or just answer the question rather than try to be one but at least you succeeded in being one so well done.

Totton lost today so as you say looking good for Merthyr

Merthyr Town FC doing very well and looking good for promotion
Currently in the National League South, their next step is into the National League South before aiming for the National League (old Conference League) and back into the EFL League 2
Personally, they stuck to their guns versus the FAW and I’d love to see them back into the EFL. For that, I wish the ‘
Martyrs’ well!

The Welsh League, to some extent, is like the Scottish Premier. The same teams at the top play in the league and gain financially from Europe but as to the day to day matches. Its not up to much
Being a chess player I am very familiar with ELO ratings. They are now being used in football to rate teams
http://clubelo.comThe New Saints have a rating of 1147 but their opponents, like Bala and Connahs Quay, are around 950 - which is actually worse than the Maltese League

I used to go up their regularly as a young lad in those days as they played alternate Saturdays to the City and remember us playing and usually beating Stevenage. Also Crawley were regulars. Just before we left the league I remember us playing Burton and they later went onto the Championship. On the other hand if we has stayed we wouldn't have had the likes of Dynamo Kiev and Porto - who we beat!! at Jenner Park. And the night we beat the Hungarian side on penalties to set up a tie with Aberdeen will live long in my memory!

They could actually play in the National League North depending on who is relegated and promoted against Scarborough and Scunthorpe, who attracted 8,300 yesterday against Chester (1,300 away fans )

They're nearly there, wish them luck.
They 100% made the right decision to stay in the English system, after the FAW tried to bribe them to go into the Welsh system.
Good to see them going well.

Yes very good , and Torquay are attracting bigger crowds in the division than when they were an established League Club
I suspect our very own attendances would increase in L1 if we were successful.

11 points clear after today with five games to go, although Totton have a game in hand.
You don't want to call it too early but it's looking like it's done for them.
