Sun Mar 23, 2025 6:37 pm

Wow Now that’s what I call Support:

Sheffield Wednesday have sold 3,129 tickets for Cardiff with about 90 tickets left

12th position in The Championship

Just lost their local derby game at home to Sheffield United

Fair play to them, brilliant support - but I'm not surprised because they always travel well.

They do have an outside chance of top six, only six points away. Unlikely, but could happen.

Yeah good supportbut its not beel like that all the time.

I recall us taking 4000 to their place for the infamous last game of the season where we lost 1-0 to miss out on a play off spot. During they game they reied to mock us by singing " Is that all you take away". We replied "Where were you at Ninian Park" referring to our home game where they only had 250 there.

Yes we did Ian.

But usually we take 450-600 fans to them.

Ian, the last 12 years they have been bringing 2,000 plus.

I remember being at Ninian Park in the 1980’s and like Sunderland , Wednesday brought 10,000 Away Fans to us.

They are massive compared to United.

My current favourite football podcast is

https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/n ... 0700602526

They were talking about Wednesday and the games they have left when they did their breakdown of Championship top two, playoffs and relegation zones and they think they are very much dark horses.

Derby play Stoke last game of season so provided Plymouth and Luton are below us and Stoke (awful run in) and Derby two points behind then that might help us out quite a bit.

NTT20 are very, very good. Some do podcasts on the EFL but say things just for a reaction or don't do their research, but Ali Maxwell and George Elek know what they're talking about and actually go to EFL games.

Always enjoy listening to them.

Us and Derby have best run in if can have one? Plus we play two rivals and so do bottom 7 play each other anyone in bottom 7 can go down..... if one gets a good run they'll stay out of relegation trouble .... still fancy Oxford to drop more than us whilst derby have 3 wins on bounce new manager bounce can falter just like Riza’s did....

My worry is Cardiff home form. Nervous at home.

Oxford will be fine.

Plymouth
Luton
Derby/stoke for me
