Riza out ffs

Sat Mar 29, 2025 5:57 pm

I'm normally positive but he's is totally out of his depth , the board and Tan got his appointment totally wrong , his substitutions ,tactics are terrible, this squad with a better manager would be safe by now ,a missed opportunity when we got rid of Bulut.I just hope it's not too late to turn things around .

Totally agree , it’s so bad
You look at that side and think yeh that is a decent side , but it’s lacking direction
We are going down unfortunately

Re: Riza out ffs

Sadly you’re right. We have the players to be higher up the table but Bulut and Riza were never good enough. Mismanagement as all levels in the Club will see us relegated.

Re: Riza out ffs

Sat Mar 29, 2025 6:15 pm

His mismanagement is in parallel with Tans mismanagement of our club.

Hiring a rookie for relegation battle FFS. Tans disasterstroke.

Oh hang on a minute he’s a yes man and cheap, there you go!

Re: Riza out ffs

Sat Mar 29, 2025 6:19 pm

Todays master stroke was heavily right-footed Ollie Tanner ended up as the right back after what can only be described as a disaster introduction. He looked so unfit it can only be described as clueless.

Riza is a disaster

Re: Riza out ffs

They had an opportunity to replace him in the international break, even though we beat Blackburn.

They didn't do it then so I doubt they'll replace him this season.

Really let himself down with the in game management today, not for the first time - that's why I always said he needed better coaches around him.

That won't happen and we won't get an experienced manager this season so I really fear for our safety for the first real time.

Re: Riza out ffs

Sat Mar 29, 2025 6:22 pm

Agree - it will be a miracle if he keeps us up. Really sad because there's enough quality in that squad to be easily safe.

An awful double whammy is having the inept car crash of a coach that is Darren Purse chipping in with defensive tips - look where that's got us!

I'm angry about it because there is no need for City to get relegated, it's just pure cheapskate mismanagement and terrible decision making.

Re: Riza out ffs

Sat Mar 29, 2025 6:27 pm

No leaders on the pitch either . Riza isn't going anywhere though
Tan probably still thinks we can make the play offs

Re: Riza out ffs

Sat Mar 29, 2025 6:30 pm

Everyone in the ground could see we were getting battered first 15 second half that is apart for Riza but know he waits till they score then changes it. He should have taken Alves off and Ashford. Like Colwill these youngsters have got to learn how to do the dirty work. If you don’t work and defend from the front then the inevitable will happen. Manager way out of his depth.

I keep seeing this said from lots of people, but it is patently wrong, or we wouldn't be where we are now. It can't all be down to the coaching set up & people, unless they're telling the players to go out on the pitch & play like they've never kicked a ball.

The puzzling thing is how we can go from being utterly dominant in the first half to being pegged back quite a bit in the 2nd. I realise that Wednesday made changes that helped them but surely Riza told the lads to expect SW to come out and step things up 2nd half as all teams losing at half time would.

IMO Riza shouldn't have bought El Ghazi on and Tanner looked way off it and made some errors. Think Davies should've stayed on along with Salech.

We've made it so hard for ourselves now.

That why i said at better manager would have us up higher , obviously his half time team talk was useless .

Wez,

Riza has to go now, but whatever happens this season he needs to be gone in May.

Spilled milk.

He's not going anywhere and other than over-dramatic posts without any substance, I'm stugging to see what he did wrong today. Fine margins and a decent performance. If anything, credit for his starting 11 as it forced them into 3 half time changes; which rescued a point.

How often do you see 3 half time subs? Sheff Wed are no mugs.

His cards marked by most of our fans, and whilst I'm not a fan of his, I wont get arsey when there's no reason.

No reason?, he didn't react to the half time subs for a start , we sat back in the same formation , what d8d he tell his players half time coz 1st half we attacked 2nd half pitiful, every single person i know sat around me could see it but riza couldn't see that they were getting bannon on the ball and had width , his subs were baffling and to put Tanner at right back was criminal.

So are you saying Sheff Wed were the better team? I saw it different over the 90mins

Agree Wes. Everyone in the stadium could see that the Wednesday equaliser was coming and changes were needed. Everyone apart from Riza and his clueless coaches.

This us type of must win game, he’s finally playing football, but whatever happens matters now us Wins Wins Wins

5 Wins from 25 League is worse than awful.

Struggles to Win at home.

We are in trouble due to him.

Great start to the game, but in game management is up there with the worst I’ve seen.

We have a decent team, we should be way higher than we are.

If he’s in charge next season, a lot of season ticket holders will not be returning.

I dont disagree about all of the above.... but today we were the better team. Some of the bollocks spouted as Riza tonight is historical feelings; in my opinion.

You've answered most fans questioned, Sheff Wed brought on 3 subs at half time, they changed the flow of the game, Riza should have reactive within 5 minutes.

My point was, the absolute minority on here are giving credit for the first half.

No wonder we're so shite and tense at home when we've got 20,000 pessamistic Pep's in the stands. Take me back to when a win was a luxury and the atmophere was 10 fold better.

We won’t stay up with the odd good 45 minutes. Teams around us are battling 1-0 draws (Pompey today). If Riza and his bargain basement coaches stay until the end of the season I’m convinced we go down.

Felt sorry for him, as that was a polar opposite display from how he was playing prior to getting injured. He was awful when he came on wasn’t he. Every touch was a mistake. And he showed he knew it after the final whistle, too.
