QPR have picked up just 7 points from their past 10 games and lost 5 out of the last 6. Unbelievably they are in worse form than us. Another draw between two poor out of form teams seems the obvious prediction. We can't keep a clean sheet and love to help out of form teams.

Sounds familiar. They were in terrible form before they played us last time and we managed to turn their season around for them that time.

QPR boss Marti Cifuentes says Michael Frey was injured late in training on Friday, leading to his absence against Stoke City.
QPR were beaten again on Saturday afternoon, this time losing 3-1 to relegation-threatened Stoke City.

Rayan Kolli is working his way back but his return will need to be a gradual one to avoid re-injury while Zan Celar remains a way off returning. Perhaps Lloyd will be ready to go from the start against Cardiff City after coming on off the bench in Stoke.

If not, Cifuentes will have Dembele, Paul Smyth and perhaps Yang Min-hyeok as makeshift strikers to consider.

To be fair we've won two out of our last three at QPR.

But the home game this season was awful and a terrible result.

QPR attacking midfielder Ilias Chair has been ruled out for four weeks with a hamstring injury sustained against Middlesbrough.

The Morocco international was substituted in the 55th minute of his side's 2-1 defeat at Riverside Stadium on 11 March, with Hoops manager Marti Cifuentes "very concerned" at the time.

Speaking before his side's match at Stoke City on Saturday (15:00 GMT), Cifuentes said he was hopeful the 27-year-old would return before the end of the season.

"It seems like a hamstring injury that will take some time for him to recover," he told BBC Radio London.

"I think we need to take it week-by-week but there is a possibility that he might be back before the end of the season, yes."

Cifuentes said he hoped to have Jonathan Varane and Alfie Lloyd back for the Stoke trip, but captain Steve Cook would miss the game, external with a foot injury.

Both QPR and Cardiff City are managing fresh injury blows following the international break.
QPR risk being dragged into a relegation dogfight after defeat to Stoke City last weekend made it five defeats in their last six Championship outings.

The R’s have now not won a game of football since Valentine’s Day and sit in 15th, just seven points above the drop zone. It’s been a dismal fall-off following a rampant run of form over the festive period and New Year, which has earmarked QPR as play-off contenders at one point.

The situation would become even more precarious with defeat to Cardiff City at Loftus Road on Saturday. The Welsh outfit are 22nd in the table and would close the gap from themselves to QPR to just two points with victory. Here’s your QPR v Cardiff City team news.

QPR captain Steve Cook missed out against Stoke City having picked up a knock in the draw with Leeds United before the international break. The centre-back is expected to return against Cardiff City but only time will tell if that remains the case.

A club statement last week read: “Steve Cook, who came off against Leeds before the international break, will need a period of offload to help manage an ongoing foot injury which was first sustained at the end of December. He is currently on course to rejoin team training next week in the build-up to our home fixture with Cardiff City.”

Marti Cifuentes was without an out-and-out striker in his matchday squad against the Potters. Michael Frey picked up an ‘issue’ on Friday so was not able to feature in that game. The severity of that problem remains to be known.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Varane and Alfie Lloyd have both been seen back in first team training after hamstring and ankle problems respectively. Those two players are set to return in the near future.

QPR face a huge clash this weekend as they look to put distance between themselves and the relegation battle.
QPR are in the midst of a pivotal week in their season having dropped down the table over recent weeks. The Hoops looked earlier in the season as though they had put a poor start behind them, moving up to mid-table alongside London rivals Millwall.

But the second half of the winter has not been kind to Marti Cifuentes’ men, and they are now six without a win and down in 15th place, just five points above the relegation zone. In a normal Championship season, 45 points would put any given club on the brink of securing safety, but this season is very different.

With only a five-point gap between 22nd and 15th, and only a seven-point gap between 23rd and 15th, as many as nine teams are involved in the relegation battle, with bottom club Plymouth Argyle likely a little too far adrift, currently seven points from safety.

Derby County’s win over Preston North End on Wednesday night - their game in-hand - put the cat among the pigeons, with the Rams moving out of the relegation zone and above Cardiff by one point as a result. But it’s bad news for QPR.

If Cifuentes’ men lose to Cardiff this weekend and Derby also win, the Hoops would be only two points ahead of Cardiff and Derby would be within one point of them. That would put QPR in the thick of the relegation battle, with only six games remaining after this weekend.
