It soon became clear he was doing it on the cheap. I was supported by my other mate Dave Jones on this. Dave Jones failed because he needed that extra support of which Vincent Tan did not give him.
Along came Malky who made it clear what he needed. Tan had to loosen the strings a bit for him BUT he still was the cheap option. Along came promotion but when Tan needed to dig deeper he refused to resulting in us becoming the one season wonders. I'm firmly in the camp if he supported Malky then we could be well established in the Premier now.
Since the sacking of Malky we have struggled and if it was not for the genious of Warnoch Tans back pockets would be on fire more than what they are now.
Yes it costs to get promoted but its costs alot more to stay there.

Whoa whoa whoa, we're remembering things very differently. I remember Malky was given one of the largest budgets in the league during our promotion season. We spent large sums on Noone, Mutch and Maynard who were all top quality championship player.
And we definitely spent a huge amount of money when we were promoted to the Prem, it was a big talking point in the media at that time. We played large fees for Medel, Cornelius and Caulker, as well as decent fees for a few other players. At the time it was arguably more than any promoted team had ever spent!
As much as I want Tan out th club, let's not rewrite history here.

All I want is someone who regards the club as his baby and us supporters as "family".
We had it once. Leicester had it with Vichai and now Forest have it.
In fact I would prefer us to be a Championship side and be regarded as family as opposed to being a Premier League side where we are regarded as customers
